"quiz" over 4 chapters (about 5 quizzes total) and a cumulative exam. Reviews before each quiz, a couple homework assignments (easy). He takes FOREVER to grade things so dont expect things quickly. I would recommend him just make sure you show up to every class because random attendance checks and it counts as a whole letter grade

I took a 5 week summer course of Urban Politics..this class was very interesting, especially if you've lived around St. Louis your entire life. Explains why things are the way they are. Learned so much! Fun fact: he looks like Al from Home Improvement. Definitely take this class for a Poly Sci elective!

One of the best professors I've had at SIUE. I LOVED this class, and highly recommend it. Dr. Theising is VERY knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and made class interesting and fun. No midterm, and you take the final only if it can help raise your grade.

This entire semester is built around one huge research project consisting of 4 separate assignments. Dr. Theising grades hard on the work so it's hard to get an A unless you know exactly what he wants. Attendence is mandatory so don't miss class at all. Dr. Theising makes learning a lot of fun. If you go to class and do the work, you'll be just fine. He's very helpful and wants his students to really understand. He's not a pushover though, don't turn papers in late! This professor is totally chili-pepper-worthy. :) A verrry classy guy!

I can't believe no one has given Dr. Theising a chili pepper yet! He's the hottest teacher I've had at SIUE so far. This is the best class I've ever taken, I've learned SO much. I want to run for President now. I'm inspired!

Great teacher, very nice guy and really willing to help you out if you are willing to try. I love the fact that if you turn a paper in late he'll give it back to you when he gets around to it, way to turn the tables my friend, when he did it to me i was mad for like a min, but then i was like that'll teach me, it idn't but i thought it might.

Dr. Theising is a great teacher...you can really learn a lot in class. You do need to do the work but he makes it easy. The textbook is easy to read & he helps by giving Top 10 Questions. I suggest taking this course if you are interested in public administration.

Tests are easy as long as you've been to class. He explains everything clearly. I didn't learn alot in my class because it was when 9/11 happened. We spent most of the rest of the class talking about that.
