Comment:

Dr Ann Lucas is the most passionate professor that I have ever met. She's super confident about the material she teaches and takes it to heart. Shes extremely mannered and has an amazing wardrobe! I admire her deeply and appreciate her teachings. I miss her lectures. Her classes are no joke. Take good notes, go to class, and study!

Comment:

The lectures are great, she's engaging and the topics are very interesting. However, you'll have to take notes of pretty much every single detail because they will be in the test. Tests aren't unreasonably hard but they'll challenge you if your notes weren't good enough. She puts a lot of weight on attendance, it can affect your grade harshly.

Ann Lucas really loves her job. She's super passionate and funny and it makes the classes entertaining. You have to study for the tests to do well and there are some other assignments that require some work. If you put the work in you can get an A since there are also extra credit opportunities. Can also be an easy B.

She is very enthusiastic about music, which is a nice touch. You do, however, have to show up for each class or you'll be docked points (still possible to pass) and the tests are not easy. Overall, interesting course and nice teacher.

Dr. Lucas is definitely a different and unique type of teacher. She is very knowledgable, passionate, and inspiring. She educates in a way where she's doing our generation a lot of justice reminding us the importance of true education, music, and life itself. Challenging class but it is worth it. I learned A LOT. She left a mark in my heart 4 sure.

Mrs. Lucas is very knowledgeable. Most of her class is lecture, not a lot of homework and tons of extra credit opportunity. She's quite nice too and will address any of your concerns.

Ann Luca has to be one of the most amazing choir directors I have had! I'm passionate about music and singing but she makes me love it even more! She really knows what she's doing and shows her passion for music during class. She is always there for you when you may need help, and she will do anything to make sure you succeed. Amazing woman!

No regular homework. Grading is a few exams, 2 papers and a presentation. Class is ALL lecture except for presentations. Possibility for unlimited extra credit which is added to lowest exam. TAKE GOOD NOTES and study. Also, if miss less than 3 days your final grade gets raised 1-3% so go to class, lol. Overall, Dr. Lucas is EXTREMELY knowledgeable.

I love this lady. She is incredibly cultured and intelligent. She has southern charm, articulation, and dazzle. Super witty and endearing. We're lucky to have her. Tough to get a question or word in edgewise because in the lectures, she's so enthusiastic about the material. I've grown to love Classical music and the arts because of her. Take her!

She's an amazing teacher. She is a little strict, but you learn so much from her. I entered this class with no interest and by the end of the semester I was eager to learn more from her. Study your lectures before the test, check blackboard and use her study guides and you should easily pass without a problem.

I love her personality. She seems rather strict at first, but slowly she's actually very social. I never used the book for this class, I don't recommend purchasing it - or the CD set (use youtube). She's a stickler for plagiarism and grammar. She grades rather easily, but you cannot put simple one word answers. There are TONS of EC opportunities.

Great teacher, lots of oppertunities for extra credit (like 15 points or more). She bases her tests mostly on her lectures. I took both 101 and 102 and didn't read a page of my book once. She is hard but if you attend the class and take notes you will be fine. She is so nice and so much fun!

out of the last 3 years of going to hancock college and being in the hancock choir she has been one of the best if not the best teacher i have ever had at a college, she really knows her music and her history on music and she strives to make everyone perform at there best, she works with everyone to help them and she truly lives to perform!!!

She is the goddess of Music History and piano performance. Her lecture will inspire you and you will feel passionate about music after you take her class. Just show up, take notes, and I guarantee you will receive an A. I did!! i've taken all but 1 of her classes. She is amazing, but dont mess around because she will call you on it! AMAZING TEACHER

She's amazing and very knowledgeable about music. At first she goes a little fast and you have to struggle to keep up taking notes but she keeps you interested. She makes the class fun with music and her humor. Plus all the extra credit point opprotunities.
