She is a very easy grader, all tests/final exam are take home, the quizzes require minimal reading, the only thing is the lectures are all very long and she bases a lot of her knowledge off of discovery channel documentaries, otherwise, easy professor, easy credit

A very nice teacher. Direct and keeps to a consistent pattern of teaching. Her lectures are long, but overall if you enjoy history, you will enjoy the class.

Personally I loved Mrs. Smith, if you do the papers as she asks, and put in your time of researching them (even though they were nothing like what we did in class) you'll receive a good grade. The tests are previous AP US History tests and are all on quizlet, use CTRL F to find answers and put the study guide on your notecard: you'll pass. :)

While this class was simple, you'll walk away with no useful knowledge. Rants about God and Jesus incessantly then just gives you all the answers to tests. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you plan on retaining any pertinent knowledge about HISTORY and not the BIBLE. Maybe she should teach a religion course instead, worst History teacher I've had.

This class is extremely easy. She gives you study guides to do that have the EXACT same questions on the test. Mrs Smith is very nice too. But, unless you read the book, you won't learn alot in her class. To get an A in her class, it's mostly about memorizing and not really learning. You have to do 2 research papers, but she's a lenient grader.

I took History 1 with her and because I enjoyed her teaching so much I ended up taking History 2 as well. One of the easier profs on campus and she'll work with you for your grade. As long as you take notes during class you should have no problem passing her exams.

I can't believe how everyone is bashing Ms. Smith. She is a cool teacher and tells it like it is. She is one of the main reasons why I have chosen to more classes in History. If you do the work, you'll do well in her class. There's no excuse for cheating.

One of the first classes that actually had me hating history. Otherwise, the book itself is interesting. just not when it's read to you for a whole semester. Her pronunciation of "eulogy" was "ecologue". Oh, and she let people essentially cheat on the test by sharing cards.

Easy class. Frustrating if you think that people who turn in papers three weeks late don't deserve an A on their papers. No real incentive to meet deadlines. No real discipline exercised. Take for an easy A, not in order to learn American History.

My time would have been better spent on watching paint dry. Not only would paint have taught me more about history, but it would have been less boring. Mrs. Smith is the WORST teacher I've ever had at BCC and I don't know how she keeps her job. Everyone cheats on the tests, but she doesn't even care.
