Dr. Scott is a cool person and does try to help out alot where he can, but he does have a tendency to test over material he has not yet gone over and can throw previous chapter questions in current testing. READ THE SLIDES and know that material and you should do well.

He is a really good teacher, the class is super easy if you show up everyday, print out the power points, and at least try a little you'll pass easy. He has really helped me out in a lot of ways, if you have any problems or questions he'll be more then willing to help.

Dr. Scott is awesome. He gives so much extra credit based on attendance and being on time, it's crazy! Answering questions also gives you extra credit. Tests are exactly what he goes over. He is patient and ALWAYS willing to work with the student. I definitely recommend him if you care about your grades.

Pros: tons of Extra credit, book not needed, EASY (word for word from slides)Nice guy - Cons: says inaccurate information, doesn't stay on topic, attendance mandatory. - You won't really learn anything about the subject matter, & A LOT of what he says is untrue/outdated. (i.e. LSD stays in your body forever giving flashbacks: it's more PTSD)

*DONT TAKE* *AVOID* This professor is awful, rambles on about stuff that's not on the test, makes up facts, talks nothing about the subject. Listen to the other raters below and do not take him. I made that mistake. Scott is terrible, and will hurt your GPA. You won't learn anything and will be constantly frustrated.

He is a super nice guy & very understanding. He can be confusing, and not very consistent. The class was drugs in society & i learned mostly about the human brain. He does try to prepare you for future interviews & graduate school.

SAVE YOURSELF NOW AND DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN!! How he ever got hired at this school I will never know. Alot of things he says are PURE opinion and not fact. Truly an AWFUL teacher. His class is nothing but nonsence and frustration. He's a joke

Worst teacher at UTSA. hands down. he is soooo scattered and has NO earthly idea how to teach! he makes no since when he talks and NOTHING he rambles on about in class is on the test. He's confusing, contradicts himself constantly & goes off subject way to much. He tries to relate things that dont relate at all. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I took him for Social Problems and the class is horrible. His lectures make little to no sense and his tests cover material he doesn't even discuss in class. If you take his class just read his slides and the book. I wouldn't recommend taking him. Don't study too much because overstudying will just confuse you and cause you to get a bad grade.

Drugs & Society-Dr. Scott spent more time on the medical side of things than the sociological aspect. Sends tons of e-mails containing useless powerpoints. His lectures are boring and at times-make no sense at all. His tests are easy though-gives you grades immediately. I wouldn't take Scott again. SNORE!!!

Dr. Scott is very nice but doesn't know how to teach-attendance is mandatory but lectures are useless. You can sleep through class and read the book and do fine on the tests. He does call on people in class, though, to answer questions. I wouldn't take Scott again

Dr. Scott is a charming and wonderful professor who simply can't teach. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but as a professor he sucks. Ok with that said I am not bitter, I got the A. It was easy. You will need the psychic friends network to guess what will be on the tests. Don't bother taking notes, read the text and the slides.

Dr Scott is a very smart & nice teacher. He treats each class like a graduate level class. The lectures are very difficult to follow and apply to the tests. He does constantly call on people to answer crazy questions, but he gives you the oppotunity to pass the question on to a friend. He does take role, and you will need to go to class to pass. B+

If you want to learn about clinical psy, you better just buy the text and teach yourself. Dr. Scott will not prepare you for any kind of career or graduate school, despite everything he says in the first few classes.

Dr. Scott is nuts! I think he takes pleasure in calling on people in class and trying to emabarass them when they don't know the answers! I learned nothing because I was to busy trying to keep ahead of him so I could answer his backwards questions! Steer clear of this nutty professor!

REALLY hard class... way too much material covered. I had a hard time understanding what he's talking about. Did not even cover interesting things... BORING! Don't take this class if you aren't an extremely hard worker.

This class isn't difficult, but if you are looking to learn the material, look elsewhere! At times he teaches the information wrong and will test over information never even covered.

What the h*ll? I thought I was taking clinical psyc, not the world according to Dr. Scott! Misinformation galore! Poor structure, poor diction, lack of practical knowledge on the subject taught. Hard to believe he has a PhD.

Turns psychology into anatomy. Expects his students to be in medical profession. If you want to be a medical doctor, then take him, otherwise ditch him. There are better ways to get credits.
