I did well with him. Maybe it's the way he set up the class, but he really knows his stuff. I would say he is a good professor to take for this particular IS course.

This course lacked structure. It was hard to plan in advance because you never really knew what to expect. He was not very clear with his requirements, and just kept telling us it would "make sense later". The test were right from the book, that wasn't an issue. The class project was where I had my main complaints.

Probably one of the easiest classes I have taken at Eastern. Do the assignments which are super easy and attendance is not mandatory. There is no Final exam either. I highly recommend this professor.

One of the better IS profs easy to understand class won't be to hard as long as you realize tests are based on reading material not lecture stuff for the most part and his grading has plenty of padding with the assignments he hands out

He is so-so. The there is no exam, which is nice alot of big projects, but he has been an easy grader. Not the worst that I have had, but not the best either.

DON'T TAKE HIM! Going to class is pointless because he reads off slides, which don't make sense, and are not on the test. Tests some how come from textbook, but the test are HARD, and confusing. He doesn't teach effectively, and my whole class doesn't understand anything. Highest grade on a test was a 62% and he wouldn't grade on a curve

I have to agree with everyone else. He just reads from the PP slides, never engages the class in discussion, and his instructions are muddy at best. I can't recommend him to anyone.

He's a smart guy, but not good at communicating ideas. His tests are very very difficult. I would recommend a different teacher if you're taking this course!

Dr. Farah is a very smart and knows the ins and outs of computer systems. He however falls well short of the teaching the concepts to students. This class was not well organized, expectations never expressed or understood, material horribly presented, and the tests were more confusing than the text you had to teach yourself to understand.

Not clear about the class or his teaching method. Other than the few that are going into computers most of the class was lost, there were many blank faces when it came to the tests. Read the book because lecture rarly realated to material. His only advise that he gave was, "read over every term" to understand tests. NOT HELPFUL!!

this class was ridiculous. The teacher was not helpful or clear. he read directly off the powerpoint and teaches you nothing. You have to teach yourself out of a very confusing book with no advice on what to study. my whole class was failing. I would not recommend this teacher to anyone.

The IS Project Management class is great! He's a great professor. Knows what he's talking about and does not tolerate stupidity. Gives clear directions and advice for the project. Project is a lot of work, so do it often and do not delay. Exams are after every 3-4 chapters. You must know your material. Lectures have lots of examples. Work!

Reads directly off the powerpoint. You learn nothing from him that you can't already learn from the book. The tests are ridiculous. I think the class average for grades was around a D. This is suppose to be an easy A class.
