Kinda nice but very tough grader. Our assignments were out of 10-20 points and she purposefully tried to trick us on one of the quizzes. I do not consider myself a strong writer at all by any means but her feedback never helped and if anything just made me more confused. Would not recommend

She's a tough grader but cares about her students and wants everyone to improve. Class is mandatory and gets boring pretty quickly. Listen to what she says in class and it will help in your essays. Easy A if do homework and follow rubrics.

Comment:

Betz is a good and passionate professor. Very friendly, really takes an interest in each student. Attendance is mandatory and she almost always keeps you until class is over, which can get a little boring. We spent whole lectures going over grammar rules I had learned in middle school, and her grading is a bit tough but not unmanageable.

She's so passionate about the English language and full of energy. She does make you stay until the very second, but class isn't always boring. You will have to read more than most WRT120 classes, but it improves your writing immensely. Also, she's kind of a tough grader. All of your 5 assignments are out of 10 points.

5 Assignments with awful prompts but they weren't that hard. Pretty tough grader I don't think she gives out anything higher than a 95%. Very into teaching. Lots of reading assignments and a few written assignments that she goes over for the whole class time. Works till the bell every class and doesn't let you leave early.

5 papers due throughout the class. Do the readings or she will threaten a pop quiz. I didn't have one but was always worried we would have one. Overall not a bad class with her. She does spend a lot of time on grammar. We spent a whole lecture talking about comma usage. Be prepared for work

Nice woman. May take an hour to explain a simple topic. Tough grader. Will give you no criteria for how she grades either. You'll have an assignment due every other week and a mock interview at the end of the semester. No tests or quizzes. Homework was a no brainer. She takes attendance.

Seriously take a different professor for ENG368. Hard work and effort in this class do not earn you an A unless you have been reading grammar books all your life. She reads right out of the textbook for three straight hours and expects you to do the same. For a writing emphasis elective, not worth it.

Extremely easy class. Almost unbearable though being as it is a 3 hr and she teaches lectures you learned in elementary school. No tests, just homework that you can do in class the week before and assignments due each week that are no longer than 2 pages. Overall, easy B+-A if you have any brain cells.

Her class is torture. She takes 3 hours to go over material that should only take 30 minutes. It isn't even an easy A. She is such a tough and subjective grader. The assignments are easy but no one in my class got an A. TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR!!

I think that she is a good professor, however something about the way she teaches reminds me of an elementary teacher. So it is weird that she is a somewhat hard grader and corrects the most minor mistakes even when you had a conference with her and she said it was fine. Overall easy class, but she does not cut 3 hour lectures short at all.

Dr. Betz har been at West Chester for ages and sure knows what she's teaching. Structured and knowledgable. She's strange, but in an amusing way. Intense eyes. The material she makes us read is really interesting. I enjoyed her class. Be a bit active in class and do your assignments well, and you should do great.

She is very enthusiastic about what she teachers, and that makes it much easier to understand. Even though it was a 3 hr class it wasnt all that bad. She is always willing to help you out on a papr and shes really nice too. Her grading isnt harsh its fair. she gives u what u deserve.

She is a very nice, interesting teacher. I had her for a three hour class, which gets boring. She makes you stay for most of the class even when there's nothing to do. But she explains things well and has easy grading. I'd recommend her.
