Comment:

This was pretty easy if you do the work. At the beginning of each section she gives you a paper that has all the topics that will be on the tests and goes down the list telling you what you need to know. If you show up to class sometimes she will give extra credit. If your grade is where you want it by finals week you don't have to take the final.

Comment:

This class was hard. Barbara's class is all lecture. I liked that since the beginning it was straight forward with what was expected in order to pass her class. I really liked that she gave a lot of extra credit, really helped a lot. The chapters in the textbook are long, and you pretty much have to read all of them.

Yikes!!! The first day she joked about how Sigmund Freud really liked cocaine and how cocaine is the drug that she would abuse if she could. Very unprofessional- even I know that many former/recovering drug users and addicts attend community college especially. I dropped the class- this was not education. Hard to stay awake when she is talking

If you want an easy A take Barbara, if you want to actually learn about Psychology take another professor. She didn't keep control of her classroom during lecture, and it felt like being stuck in an elevator listening to pre-teens gossip and share stories about their lives - in a manner totally unrelated to the material being learned.

This is one of the most interesting class I have taken. Lectures were not boring at all. As long as you read the textbook you will be fine, there are 4 exams and final is optional. Also, she gives a lot of extra credit which is great!

The majority of your grade will be based on multiple choice tests(which I suck at) But I made up for it by doing all the extra credit she hands out. All of her lectures are verbal and she's funny. Just write down what she talks about and read the chapters of the book that the tests cover and you should be in a good position for tests

Very smart lady that knows her stuff. Funny at times. All verbal lecture, no presentations or slides. Take advantage of the extra credit opportunities because it adds up in the end.

Cares about her students, and lays everything out for you so that you know what you need to do in order to pass the class. Grades were based primarily on tests, so beware if you struggle with test taking.

I had Barbara for both psy 201 and psy 202 she's an amazing instructor and her lectures are amazing. Show up do the work and try your best you will be fine don't be afraid to ask for help. She does offer extra credit do the extra credit it will seriously help.

Very funny. Gives lot's of extra credit opportunities and allows a page of notes for the tests (front and back). She also gives study guides. Although the book isn't used, I advise going over the book before tests!

Barbara was hilarious without being uninformative. I learned a lot in her class, and enjoyed myself. She offers a ton of extra credit. My only complaint is that there's material on the tests that is not gone over during class. Other than that, it was the best class I've taken at Chemeketa so far.

Comment:

She is an amazing person herself. But hate the part that she teached through verbal lecture no powerpoint just a sheet of outline and lecture. The reason I didn't like her class was the verbal lecture other than that she is great. Communication is the best policy in her case. Test are heavy beware!

Barbara is an amazing teacher take any extra credit she gives you take notes and use the outline she gives you and you will do fine. Communication is key with her let her know if you need to miss a test so you can take it

Barbara Norsworthy was my favorite teacher. She is so funny and I really enjoyed her lectures. She really knows her stuff and makes the material easy to learn and its very interesting! She usually let us out of class early everyday. There isn't too much homework and as long as you utilize your study guide and page of notes you're good!

Her lectures were very basic, but covered all material well. No power point or writing out, just vocal lectures. Assignments were minimal, just chapter tests and the final was just a test on the final chapter. Very straight forward.

Barbara is awesome. I love that she just sits up in front of the class and gives lectures in such a conversational way that I ended up returning the book since I could easily recall what she talked about come test time. There are only four easy assignments and she grades your test before you leave so there's no waiting to know your grade! Love her.

Comment:

She's what you'd expect from a Psy professor, but she gives you complete study guides for EVERY exam. AND you can have one page of notes for the exam, except the final. She gives extra credit! Explains what she wants, no playing teachers pet for an A.
