The worst professor I have had in 3 years of school. She never stops talking about her personal life in class. Her lectures are long, dry, and boring. If you dont write exactly what she has in her presentations she will mark it wrong on tests. Literally took what she said verbatim used it in the exam and was still incorrect. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

Belinda is the worst teacher I've had at SIUe. She's incredibly rude to her students. She cares less about them and much more about hearing her own voice. She frequently teaches with bad sources such as wikipedia. She often just likes to express her own opinions instead of teach. You're paying to hear her talk about nonsense and share her fav books

She started off the class by saying that she doesn't like athletes. I am not an athlete, and I felt this was very rude to them. Since their were so many, I felt she graded tougher. On the first project she said you were lucky if you got a 70% or above. The first exam was written, and she took off points for using examples that weren't on the PP.

The absolute worst teacher I've had. I got A's on both the first exam and the paper we had to write, but got a C on the second test and "didn't participate much". This is the quote that I got in an email when I asked her why I received a lower grade than I had expected. She is rude and answers questions in a sarcastic manor.

Talks non-stop, but not about anything that pertains to the class. She's also rude, does not take questions if it "cuts into her lecture time." She literally said even if she doesn't go over the material, you're still expected to know it- but yet the powerpoint make 0 sense and are not helpful at all. Honestly the worst professor I've ever had.

Content isn't difficult, but its taught by a self-absorbed brat who likes to hear herself talk as opposed to teaching anything that actually matters. She also has a serious attitude. I love German history, language and culture, but despise her class. Only reason I'm taking her class is because I have to, there's no other way around her apparently.

I really enjoyed Dr. Carstens Wickham's course. She is funny and makes the class interesting. It's not overly difficult to do well, although you do have to put in some effort.

Extremely unorganized. Definitely talks a lot about herself, and you can tell she's conceited. The first class I had with her, she talked about her various divorces and made a phallic reference. Extremely unprofessional. She gives quite a bit of homework and hardly collects it, but gives you what is on the test. She likes to hear herself talk.

Dr. Cartsens-Wickham has been one of my favorite professors at SIUE. She is petty funny and talks about her family a lot. She is EXTREMELY knowledgable about Germany and wants to help you guys succeed! Do not be afraid of her. Easy A. She tells you everything on the tests so there are no surprises!

Belinda's lectures are very boring and the power points are useless. Just remember what she says in class and write that for the quiz essays. The whole class is pretty much people bragging about how much history they know. Only go to class to get quiz content ahead of time, get other HW done while in class. Don't take IS 364 unless you have to.

The worst teacher in foreign languages and is somehow the chair of the department. She is disorganized, plays favorites and likes to hear herself speak instead of the class. She also made awkward phallic references about once a week. If you can take ANY other professor please do. Belinda is a self absorbed professor who should be replaced.

A typical fine arts class: show up and get an 'A'. She tells you exactly what you need to know for her tests/quizzes, all you have to do is memorize it. Nice teacher, easy class, and sort of interesting. I would recommend this class/teacher if you need a fine arts class.
