Dr. Tovrog was one of the best professor I have ever had. He tries his best to help you succeed and makes himself as available as possible to help you. Loves to use the book and test questions usually come right from the textbook questions. If you do the homework and pay attention in class, it should be easy to do well.

Dr. Tovrog is fantastic! He posts a pre-lab lecture the week before lab so you are able to get an idea of what the lab will be like (in case your lecture class hasn't caught up). He gives tons of extra credit points and drops the lowest quiz/lab grade. He will answer a call/text in a timely manner and assist you in whatever way he can! Take him!

He teaches easy, but the tests are hard. There are 9 quizzes, 3 exams, and final. The final exam has two parts. The first part is 40 questions that made by Science Department ( Government) and the other part is 16 questions that made by College science Department. Super hard. He does not make any questions. The questions are not from the book.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE TOVROG! Taking him right now at Emory and he should deserve a chili pepper. Offers a pre-class session an hour and half before class EVERY CLASS which is extremely helpful. Some people have told me that he really ups his game for 142 but if his teaching style remains the same sign me up. ("A+" right now but that might change)

He's awesome. Responsible, punctual, competent, nice, funny, and genuinely cares about students doing well. Chemistry can be a nightmare depending on the instructor but he makes it pleasant. Teaches and explains clearly and is very helpful. Fantastic professor. And he should have a chili pepper - HOT.

Seemed really easy, but changed the standard of what it takes to get an A. Instead of a 93, he changed it to 97 and didn't even tell us. Still, he's a nice guy and cares about his students

I took this course at Emory and I thought it was ridiculous because the while semester I thought it was very doable but without telling us he decided to make an A a 97 instead of 93

This is no easy class. With that being said, Dr. T is the most dedicated and helpful teacher that I have met. You have to put in a ton of time into this class if you to succeed (10hrs+ a week like he said) but he is there hours before class and help you in anyway he can. As long as you're willing to put in the effort and time that is.

If chemistry is like a foreign language to you, Dr. Tovrog is the person you want to take. He breaks everything down so it's easy to understand. You must do the homework to do well in this class. He also has a review class prior to each class and is also in the learning lab. You need to take advantage of all of this.

He's a pretty good professor. He just expects you to do too much homework. Study guides for exams don't really help. He's doesnt seem to care about sigs. He wants you to learn concepts. Gives tons of partial credit and there are still bonus problems on his exams. His curves are a joke. Take chem 1212 when you don't have to take anything else.

He is THE BEST chem teacher EVER! He comes to class an hour earlier to do a review session, gives extra credit on tests, and explains the material very well. There is no one else you should take chemistry with except Mr. T!

He was a great professor and I learned a lot from him. Quizzes come from the homework, so you need to do the work and come prepared. Tests can be a little hard, but he offers extra credit and a study session before class. I felt that he was really interested in his students and wanted everyone to succeed.
