Comment:
Chezum is a good guy and one of the better ones in the econ deparmtent. He doesn't give you a study guide for exams, but if you take good notes his exams are always on exactly what you went over in class, so its not too hard to study for. Overall pretty good class

He didn't answer emails and was not in his office during office hours. There are typos on many of the homework assignments. On one test, I didn't have one question wrong and still failed because he took so many points off. I had a 4.0 in stat 101 and a 3.75 in econ 100, but I will probably fail this class. Even the tutors in the QRC were confused.

Chezum expects a lot from his students, but he's just trying to make them better economists. Yes he has really hard tests, yes he is a tough grader, but he's also always there to explain material to you if you're confused. He just holds his students accountable for putting in the effort and doing the work and seeking help when it's needed.

This guy is the reason I'm an econ major. He can be a hardass but he sets his expectations at the beginning of the semester and all you have to do is follow through. But follow through, otherwise you're screwed. He loves the subject and he'll love you if you love it too.

Fantastic professor. Has high expectations for the amount of effort expected. He teaches you how to think and work through problems. Will challenge enough so that all subsequent Econ courses are a breeze. HIGHLY recommended.

Classes are a bit tedious, but that may be because of the subject matter. Need to study for quizzes or else your grade will suck. I don't really get why all the other raters think he's so great....

Great sense of humor, one of the best teachers to come to SLU. A demanding teacher who teaches beyond what is just required, many negative reviews b/c classes are hard, but his is always willing to help, an overall great teacher.

Brian is one of the most intelligent faculty members to grace St. Lawrence, you will be lucky to study under him. I suggest that negative ratings have been posted here because he is a demanding teacher and not every student can cut it in such an intellectual classroom environment. Opinionated, fun, good all-around guy and parent.

Hard class....made harder by him. Sort of a cool guy outside of school, but not a good teacher. Pompous beyond his years and experiences. Smart, but not that smart.

Was not clear at all. Expected students to learn on their own from a book that had no relevance to the course.
