There was a lot of time and research to put into this class, but it was very informative and well worth the effort. Dr.Utley was very responsible in this online class as he would always respond to emails, chat invitations and discussion postings in a timely manner. He obviously likes his job!

Dr. Utley is probably one of the best teachers at SFA. For an 8 o clock counterpoint class he is great, and I took one theory class with him and he was great in that too. He's never afraid to help, so go to his office when you have a problem! Also, if its an early class, don't be late often, but don't freak out if you are, he's cool about it.

Dr. Utley is such a nice teacher...he is also very helpful...don't skip though...'cause you can't make a missed quiz, etc. if you miss for reasons other than illness. He is soooooooo nice!!!

Great teacher for theory and Aural Skills. I got an A in botth classes. Very easy and will work with you as much as he can. A must-take your freshman year, if you are a music major. GRREAT!
