Nice guy, horrible professor. Very confusing (heavy accent), and does minimal teaching. Goes off on lots of tangents, but it was an entertaining class, to say the least. Do not expect to learn any Spanish, but easy A because he goes over the tests, word for word. Homework is from the text/workbook, but answers are in the back. Joke of a class.

He talks way too fast and very unclear with a heavy accent. It is also hard to learn with his messy writing. You wont longterm learn anything but youll pass. He is very nice and enthusiastic but that doesnt help with learning. some of the homework is very hard and he expects you to understand it as much as he does. He has too high standards.

One of the most irritating classes I've ever taken. 90% diatribe, 10% Spanish. To be fair to the guy, he is really nice and accommodating. It's an unbelievably easy A, if that's what you're looking for, but if you want to learn and use any Spanish go elsewhere.

Heavy accent, good humored. Used all tests 4 the final. Final on green scantron. Tests always have 5pts 2 try 2 get xtra credit. We ALL had fun doing the oral report @ end. We even had a potluck. He tells U what to study 4 tests. Do HW & classwork & you'll pass. No group work. (Whew!) Come 2 class bcuz he respects that enough 4 a better grade.

pretty cool. his english is poor. but most spanish teachers only speak spanish in class nowadays. he's cool, never got mad. I came late everyday. Attendence not mandatory. There's a few tests, homework, one speech. I got a B and i honestly deserved a D.

Heavy accent & humorous but will take time to explain. Do homework & come to class bcuz part of grade. Tests are easy & you'll review before. Tests have extra credit. HW is typed if given from the textbook. Final is cumulative, can use your HW to study it. Easy paced class but he'll sometimes go off topic still related to Spanish. A talker. Fun.

Mr. Ugas-Abreus did not have good teaching skills. He had difficulty keeping the class on topic and his explanations were confusing. His English skills were poor - surprising for a college professor, especially since he has lived in the US for over 40 years.

Ugas is an easy professor no matter what anybody says. You need to learn the material but it's just really easy and he goes over it a lot. He only drops people that never attend the class so I didn't mind. My only complaint is that we didn't get much speaking practice which is kinda the whole point of the class.

This instructor is the worst. He sits there and talks to you in spanish for most of the class, you can barely understand his english, and he thinks he's the funniest person alive. It's a begining spanish class, we don't speak it yet.
