For anyone who is not great at math, this is going to be difficult for you. The class moves quickly so if you don't pick the concepts up, you're gonna be in for a rollercoaster of a term. Professor Tan is caring though so he will make a good effort to help you out, as long as you return the favor and try.

The class goes so fast, have to pay attention in class. Pro. Tan is nice and he is willing to help outside the classroom. Although there are lots of homework, if you come to class and this is not a problem.

I took this class after being a on 10 year break and Prof. Tan was more than understanding of my adjustment back to school and math in general while also working a full time 50 hr/wk job. There is a lot of homework but its necessary to understanding and applying the concepts to be ready for exam day. I would take a class of his again.

This class is very fast paced. You'll be learning 1 or 2 subjects a class. So, be prepared to grasp these concepts quickly because it applies to future concepts. There are also in-class assignments and MyMathLab hw that needs to be completed every week.

This class was extremely difficult and really required extra guidance. I took this class as a hybrid course and sat in his face to face class only one time a week for an hour. He went over things so quickly that I just stopped attending classes as youtube videos assisted me more. He wasn't very responsive on email either.

He uses "in class" assignments, examples from the book that he walks through step by step, in preparation of the current chapter(s) homework. Doesn't always get through the "in class" assignments and you must finish at home as well as the assigned homework. Set aside a lot of time to study if you struggle with math! No extra credit.

Professor Tan is super nice and funny, and he takes time to make sure the students understand. There is in class homework assigned and online homework as well, due once a week. If he doesnt finish the in class homework in class, he'll often make a video in his own time. Really sweet guy. First math class i actually enjoyed.

He is a really nice guy. You need to spend a lot of time reviewing it yourself. He is a very responsible teacher and always tries to make sure that most students understand. It also gives us a lot of opportunities to get points.

The class have 12 in class and online homework, 3 projects, and 3 exams including the finals. The homework is not that bad. Theres study session for the projects. The projects are somewhat similar with the exam, but you need to still study for the exam. I missed few classes, and Professor Tan is willing to help.

This professor was great!! You can receive much feedback. However, Quiz was very difficult, and also homework was super heavy. There are few extra credits during a semester. If you take BUS250, I will recommend this professor.

He is a nice person and tries to engage with students to make sure we understand what we are doing. But at very first beginning of the class, he didnt really explain about assignments and etc. so I got confused. Overall his class is good and videos he posted on Laulima really helped!

great fun teacher. helps with in class hw, so good idea to go to class. not TOO much hw, helps with projects, extra study sessions. Lots of opportunities to learn. if your good at math class will be easy, would take again
