his class was a hard, and there were nights that homework chapters were up to 8 that were due, but hes very understanding and tries different explanation to explain the materials to your understanding, he does care about his students and wants them to pass

I'm not good at math at all but he made the problems so easy to understand. He answers all your questions no matter how many and is an all-around good guy and has a sense of humor. Would take his class again, highly recommend him if you struggle in math.

Comment:

I took this course as a Summer Mini. Im historically bad at Math, second time taking Calc 1. Professor Kilgore thouroughly explained material and was accessible for help outside of class. Just because its a CC class doesnt mean it was easy, its not. But if you want to learn Calc, and have a good TEACHER, this is the one.

Mr. Kilgore is very smart, wise and funny. You do have to work hard in his class, just like any other college class. He gives you partial credit for trying on the exams. He is a great professor.

Math is my weakest subject, as I have never had a strong foundation. Mr. Kilgore explained things very well, and always had a real life reference to relate to what we were learning. I felt that his grading system was very fair, also, although I know that may not be the popular opinion.

Literally the WORST professor I've ever had in life. To the point where I never want to take another math class again. Super mean guy and seems to not have a heart. I had the hardest time in his class and once I gradually got better, he refused to bump my grade by .3 points to just make a 70. I will never forget him and how much I hate him.

I had Professor Kilgore for both Algebra and Pre-Calculus, he bases how hard he pushes you depending on the class. Algebra being a freshman level was quite easy though Pre-Cal took much more effort. His lectures are full of funny stories that help keep you entertained during the class time.

Took for Cal 1 & 2. Gave tons of great examples to help the class understand even the more complex topics. Lectures and tests made me think harder about the concept in a good way. HW not for a grade but you should practice all of it. He is also funny during lectures while being seriously smart. Overall a great experience.

Calculus 2 in itself is a tough subject. I took this class summer 2 w/ kilgore. Anytime I had a question on my homework he definitely could help. His lectures did have some test questions in them. HW is 0% of your grade, but you need to do it to understand the material Didnt attend last 2 weeks and studied all day instead. Worked hard for my A...

Super hard, hardest math teacher on campus, no calculators at all and assumes you know most of it, and goes very fast, I'd suggest another teacher for anyone who isn't a math wiz

The course itself was fairly easy, but he did a great job explaining the more complex parts of the material. Writing assignments (yeah, in a math class) and online homework make up a good percentage of grades in class. Tests were fairly easy, and he gave a review before each one.

Moves extremely fast through the material. Only grades are three test. Hes not very helpful or polite when asking for help in tutoring or class. His demands are very unreasonable, the final review is 25 pages long. Only teacher for calculus , I would rather spend $2000 taking calculus at a university then take him again.

Basically all on MyMathLab, homework and quizzes online. Only tests done in class and the notes are just problem examples. But in the future he gives the option to do or not to do MyMathLab. If you chose not to the tests and quizzes are done in class with no homework.
