Professor Derme was great. She wants to help and is always available in her office hours. A Midterm, Final, 1 group project, and a research paper. She could have been a bit clearer on instructions about paper. All in all she's a great teacher, so sweet, and has honestly has great style

This class is based off attendance, a small assignment, a research paper, & a midterm & final. This class was BORING. The assignments have unclear grading criteria. She is super unspecific about what she wants. The research paper will make you hate your life, and I say that as a person who tends to do great on those type of assignments.

Derme is so sweet. There are two exams and 2 presentations- solo and group. She is very understanding and will help any chance she gets. The group presentation takes a good chunk of time. Overall, I enjoyed the class

Professor Derme's lectures are comprehensive and interesting, just make sure to read the textbook to be more prepared for exams. Yes the research project seems tough at first but it's really straightforward. Go to her office hours, she's there to help and is super nice.

Dr. Derme is brilliant This class is hard, you will have to work for your grade but it is definitely doable. Showing up to class is the key to success. The textbook is an easy read and you will need it to do well. The paper was was tough and she didnt prepare us well for it, ask Qs. Great prof otherwise and would take again. Shes also gorgeous!

I loved Professor Derme. Her lectures were very interesting and involved the whole class, not just her reading off powerpoints. The grade was based off of a midterm and final test, both had study guides, and a research paper which was the main focus of the class. I would definitely recommend taking COMM 306 with her!

I got a B but it was NOT easy. There are not a lot of assignments less points to earn. A research paper was a huge percentage of our overall grade. One class, she was upset because almost the whole class (100 ppl) did not have good proposal. She took no responsibility for that. Her lectures are great but her tests are confusing. Glad its over.

The teacher was great, the lectures are interesting, the tests are manageable if you come to class, and study hard. The issue is the big research paper that I, as well as many many others in the class found incredibly difficult. Ive never dropped a class in my 3 years of college, but I ended up dropping the class due to the difficulty of the paper.

Professor Derme is the BEST!! She's always on time and ready to teach. She goes above and beyond to help her students out (office hours saved my life). Her professionalism and how she presents herself is amazing. Plus, she's hilarious! I loved going to her class everyday. 2 tests, 1 group project and 1 paper. Go to EVERY class and participate!

Derme was super sweet and helpful throughout the semester. Come to class and participate it will help you pass the midterm and final. She does not use power points for her lectures and instead has groups of students teach theories. It was for me to Hard to learn this way. Huge paper that requires a lot of effort.

Try and become a teachers pet, that's apparently the best way to get graded fairly in this class. Once you're a teachers pet, feel free to snicker and make faces whenever someone in class answers something incorrectly, she won't mind!

This class is NOT easy if you plan on being a honest student! Dr. Derme requires you to devise an original unique hypothesis but she isn't aware of the current peer reviewed scholarly articles already published so copying an established thesis for your paper is possible. The paper is worth 30% of your grade.

Dr. Dreamy I mean Derme is phenomenal. She is a great professor and a wealth of knowledge. She is incredibly straight forward so you know what to expect. And though this tidbit has nothing to do academically, she is always dressed professional. As if her knowledge wasn't credible enough she looks the part. Dual threat ethos. Take her!

Dr. Derme is a wonderful professor. She is very approachable and makes the class environment very comfortable. There are only 2 major assignments (1 group and 1 solo presentation) and two tests, so every grade counts. She does give a study guide as well as the essay questions for the test ahead of time. I definitely recommend her.

In the beginning I thought she was going to be a tough/strict professor and that her class would probably be my least favourite that semester... I WAS WRONG. Her class was my favourite! She's amazing and her teaching style made it so easy to understand the materials and really interesting! Take her if you can!!

She is very smart and easy to understand. Reading the text book is mandatory for a good grade. She offers no extra credit and only has five assignments, all of which require a lot of care, studying, and respect to do well on. If you want an interesting class with real world uses and you want a challenge, take her. She is also very friendly.

Dr. Derme is AMAZING! Honestly one of the best professors I've had anywhere. The class is not easy, but don't let that intimidate you from taking her. She is there to help and is very knowledgeable, she truly cares about the success of her students. Definitely took a lot from this course. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Engaging and considerate professor. She will give you advice if you ask her, especially considering there's a half hour persuasive campaign you will present as a group (so choose your group members wisely; you will work with them all semester!). She's real down to earth and her lectures are all auditory. She loves class participation! 2 exams only!

One of the departments best professors. Passionate, intelligent and genuinely cares about students who want to do well in the class. Class is easy if you activity listen and she lectures without the use of power point and is still amazingly effective. She will leave as lasting impression on me for a lifetime as I continue into graduate school.
