He is an amazing theory teacher. He is great at explaining things in multiple ways in order to achieve understanding with many different kinds of learners. He is passionate and his passion rubs off on his students.If you don't get it, he'll get you to get it, but you have to be an attentive student. Ask questions. Study. Do your work.

He has never been late, he is always there before I am, and I am almost always on time. He is one of the few of my teachers who has never cancelled a class. He has a lot of energy, and he really holds your interest. He is also very nice, and respectful. He is a dedicated and passionate teacher, and I have enjoyed having him.

Comment:

A great teacher! Very energetic, fair, and helpful. Individual attention is not uncommon, and he genuinely wants to help students understand the material and reach their potential. This is not to say that all of his classes are a cakewalk; however, if you apply yourself and work hard, there is much to gain from having him as an instructor.

Had him from intro to music he is very hard. Every beginning of class is a quiz.Come late than it is a zero. I would not advise him as a teacher. Have to a music major to understand the class. He do not take the time to slow it down for people that are not music major.

Very good teacher. I rather enjoyed him. He cares about the students and tries his hardest to help you understand different things. Has good presentations as someone else has said!!! Tries hard to make you love the music and the reading by giving examples from what "we" as 20th century students know it. Ex. The Titanic Movie.

I HAVE BEEN TAKING HIS CLASS SINCE HE CAME TO ECSU AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM EXCEPT FOR HIS CORNY JOKES. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND HIM.

Teaching style is awful! It's either his way or the highway and his method of using the Solfege syllables is not very clear to those of us who have been using to using numbers.
