AMAZING TEACHER. IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT ANY MATH CLASS (MATH1000-MATH9000) TAKE CLAY!! He is first of all, such a nice guy. He really cares about his students and his math problems. He teaches so well and always makes sure you understand before he moves on. He does the homework in class every day so you can do your homework and follow along. :)

Comment:

I really loved taking math 1000 from Clay. I never liked math in high school, but now I love math and I understand it in a whole new way. He really cares about the success of each student. If a student doesn't understand a problem one way, he will explain it in different ways to make sure the student understands it. I highly recommend him!

This man is amazing. He is one of the best teachers I've ever had at UVU. I wish I could take a lot more of my classes from him! He was an incredible teacher. He teaches in a way that is easy to understand and he helps you understand why the math works the way it does. He does a lot of examples in class to help you solidify the concepts.

Clay is honestly awesome. You can tell he genuinely cares about your success in the class. I mean, the man will even sing songs about math equations that makes them so easy to remember. His tests were all fair, as well as the homework. Some topics were harder than general, but overall his class was easy because he is a great teacher. Thanks Clay!

Clay is an amazing teacher! He does a great job at explaining what he is doing and very good at re-explaining things if you do not understand. Took as a block class, it did go by very fast so you don't have time to slack on the homework. Regardless, it's manageable if you are willing you're willing to put in the work. I definitely recommend him.

He takes the time to set up study groups for us when the finals were getting close and before the he helped the mentor in the class set them up throughout the semester. He made sure that you participated in class and he took the time to explain why the things we needed to do were in that order. Brown made learning math fun and relaxing.

Dr. Brown is kind and respectful to students, never making anyone feel dumb. He is patient with questions and explains things in a way that those not great with math can understand. He is energetic and engaging. I would recommend him to anyone! Awesome professor!

Clayton is by far the best math teacher that I have ever had. He has a big love for students and also for math. His wife is a math teacher as well. They love it. He is very student oriented, if you don't get or understand something, he will tell you in a way that isn't in a "math voice" he says things in a way you can understand. Take his class

Clayton was a great teacher! Math is my weak subject and he was so good at explaining it and helping me understand it. He is great at what he does and really has a passion for math and helping his students understand the material. He is always willing to meet after class or during office hours to help with whatever you need. He is Amazing!

I have never liked or been good at math. But Clay is amazing, math was my favorite class this semester. You have to work hard, but Clay is always there to help you out. He explains the concepts so well. I would take any class from him! I wish he taught higher math classes too. I HIGHLY recommend.

I loved Clay he is such a good teacher. He never makes you feel like an idiot and he always makes you laugh by being goofy. He loves to teach and truly cares about you. You will pass his class if you just go and do the homework. He takes time in each class to answer questions about the homework. He is my favorite professor that I have had at UVU.

He is a really nice guy. The class and the work were just very difficult. His teaching style was just giving examples and you have to follow along to learn, he does not actually teach you the process, you just have to grasp the concept yourself (which was very difficult for me).

Clay is an amazing teacher. He teaches math very clearly and teaches to multiple levels of understanding. There is a fair amount of homework (paper & pen) but it all applies to the tests. The course is broken up into 4 units so there are 4 tests and a final exam. He is very willing to help with any questions you might have. Highly Recommend!

BEST math class I've ever taken. Clay was clear on what he expected and took his time explaining the material. I have never been a good math student but his class made me feel so confident. He gives practice tests that are almost identical to his tests. He DOES allow calculators!
