Comment:

Not a bad professor, but does expect you to dedicate time to the essays and homework. Lectures are thorough, but you can ask questions if something is confusing. Does give extra credit from time to time. Offers tutoring in the Academic Success Center, which can also count towards your grade.

Dolnick was not the worst teacher, but did have us read 4 books throughout the semester and the essays were difficult at times. You must be willing to work hard to pass the class.

Comment:

his class is super boring, he just keeps talking and talking during the entire class. he doesn't explain himself very well on what he wants on the essay, he just gives a bunch of papers and expects you to do everything correctly and read entire books in just a week. Don't recommend at all.

It's a tough class to get through if you aren't genuinely interested in the topics he focuses on. He does talk a lot so be warned, most of the class is him talking and talking and talking. But he is a nice guy and gives good feedback on papers. Do go to the class before a paper is due because if you don't it will bring down your grade.

Comment:

Professor Dolnick is incredibly smart and very caring about his students. I learned so much going on in the he world that I had no idea were going on. He is a tough grader but gives really good feedback to fix your work to get a better grade and always willing to help. Lecture can be boring at times. Show up and do your work and youll pass.

He is a super nice guy, passionate about his job, and always willing to help you on assignments. The one thing I found I didnt like about this class is how boring lectures can be. He intelligent and very aware of whats going on in the world and gets side tracked easily because of that. Tough grader, He wasnt my first choice, but isnt the worst.

Dolnick is a tough grader but its not impossible to get an A, you just have to dedicate time to getting essays done on time for the due date. Its a whatever class, wouldnt be excited to take again but still would because its do-able and not hard at all.

This class is difficult if you have trouble writing essays. The only thing that really sucks was that at times he treated the class almost like a high school setting. A lot of attendance monitoring and hand holding throughout lectures. I rarely remember lectures actually being useful in his class since he would veer off topic so much.

He's a good professor if you're looking to actually learn, he's not the kind of guy that gives an easy A. You have to actually try in his call in order to do a good job but he is fair while grading. Be prepared to write a lot and do some reading. He puts a lot of effort into grading and is willing to help you out with your papers.

He starts taking attendance 5-10 mins before the class even starts, no lectures just essays all semester long, grades extremely heavily, you won't learn anything all semester, and knowingly likes to add fake tardys and absences. Best tip I can give you: don't take his class or switch out ASAP!!

Expects the best from students, he's tough but I liked his style of teaching. He always told us to have someone take a look at out essays before turning them in so I did everytime, it helped me turn in a great paper. I passed his clas with an A.

Clear on Assignments. Go to the writing center to get that extra point! I am a strong writer and this class was just the right challenge for me. I really strove hard to complete the work above and beyond what was asked. He is a really tough grader. Really strict on day of the final. BE PREPARED!

He's an environmentalist, who will rant about a lot of stuff before he starts his class. He is a low class member of society who is very old school. His assignments are very specific and go in depth with the readings, so make sure to read the different books. He's not crazy, he knows what he is talking about and will give you good feed back.

Cody is pretty nice and up-beat ,but he talks non-stop and complains about life. Beware taking his class in the morning! You will most likely fall asleep if your not a morning person. Strict grader and expects you to be ready and follow the outline for essays. Expects you to attend and will fail if you don't!

Cody complains about life, his job as a teacher, movies, his cat. Very strict. He does not care if you try-he just wants you to write essays as if you are an attorney, BA degree graduate.

Cody is too strict. Take him ONLY if you have to. He tries to be funny and complains about movies he has watched. He is NOT helpful. If you do not have STRONG writings skills you will struggle and or not pass the class.

This teacher is kinda cool, but still, it is kinda strict regarding essay outlines. Attendance is mandatory as well as your textbook. If you found a better instructor I'll recommend to take that, take Dolnick ONLY in case of an emergency.

Comment:

The class kinda drags on but he's very clear and precise with what he teaches. If you just follow the rubrics and get your work done you'll get through it. There isn't much homework and we used the textbook like three times at the beginning of the semester.
