Comment:

This class was difficult purely because she wants you to stretch your essays/papers as much as you can. I want to get my points across, and I can do so in less than 4k words!! Cynthia was also a little bit more close-minded than I'd like a professor to be. Therefore, I don't recommend this class.

Her class is straightforward the syllabus explains everything you need to know. There are weekly reading assignments and she expects at least a 500 word response per answer and three essays involved. Overall great class, a lot of concepts but you can tell she really cares about her students. Easily accessible and gets back to you in a timely manner

Comment:

Professor Hamlett was very nice and helpful when students had questions. I thought he was a good English professor. However, I would not take this class during a summer session. A regular semester would be fine, but summer was absolutely brutal with the amount of writing posts, essays, readings, and film assignments that had to be done. Very hard.

Comment:

I had 3 emotional break downs because of this class. There was so much work it became overwhelming. The work is unbearable and just thinking about it gives me anxiety. Lots of writing assignments & 2 essays one is a minimum of 6 pages and the other is a minimum of 8 pages. 1 group project which was extremely difficult to do in an online course.

At the start i thought it would be nerve wrecking after actually doing her 10,000 word assignments but fear not this should discourage you, in fact it might even inspire you because she gives you the freedom to write about literally anything, she doesnt grade tough and will answer questions and help whenever necessary definitely recommend

This is the worst class I've ever taken in my entire life and I've taken many. Do yourself a favor take it with someone else. If you like writing over 10,000 words a week. Go for it!

Cynthia is a great teacher. You can tell that she really cares about English and wants her students to do well. To do well in this class you will need to dedicate a lot of your time, so don't take it with too many other classes. Cynthia is very helpful, so don't be afraid to reach out to her for help.

Cynthia was a super tough grader and wasnt really clear on her instructions. She would also put other students on a petal stool and I didnt like that. Shes super precise on what she wants on every assignment, it can be too much at times.

Cynthia is an amazing professor ! At first I was scared to be in her class, but after I loved it she makes English actually fun! I never liked English after taking her I have learned so much! Not only how to write better,but also actual things that happen in real life ! Amazing person. Oh but her response are long !! But fun after !

Professor Cynthia really enjoys her job. She wants her students to succeed. She has been an outstanding influence, in the class and outside. She is down to earth. You need to take your studies serious though, be on top of your assignments. It is a lot of work. Do not take this class with Biology and math unless you have the time.I recommend her! SC

She is the best! I had her for English 450 and English 1A. Her papers are no joke, but she goes through every single detail with you and helps you become a great writer! This class you need to really make an effort in. I really enjoyed her classes. She cares about her students!

Cynthia is the best professor i have taken at chaffey college. She is knowledgeable and genuinely cares for her students to succeed. I have learned so much, and even though her class was difficult, i would do it all over again. Amazing person and teacher, you will not regret taking her. She made me a better writer

A great teacher in all aspects, but a tough grader. She demands the very best out of her students, so if you're a slacker, find another professor. Very helpful and is definitely there for her students if need be. She will humiliate past students by showing off their poor work, which I thought was unprofessional. Very animated and funny otherwise.

Cynthia is the best teacher to go to if you want to learn how to write a well constructive essay I would definitely recommend her. just go to class everyday, do your best and go to the learning center and that will help a lot :) she is very descriptive and helpful she is there to help
