Her tests were hard. Took points off if you write extra stuff. she was not helpful during the lab. she didnt even mention theres a file that helps us study at the bio lab. she just answer your questions, but would not tell you what you need to know from herself. wasnt helpful

HORRIBLE TEACHER!!! Stay away from this prof as far away as you can!! Not helpful in any way. She just reads off her boring powerpoints during lecture. Labs, she just watches you like a creeper. Vague directions on what to do. When you ask her a question, she makes you feel like the biggest idiot in the world. Run I tell you! Before it's too late!!

I took her in spring 09 dropped before deadline same as 1/2 the class. Test strickly from lecture notes. Very hard grader and spelling counts. Just finished A&P and got A's in both classes. I truely believe it is the teacher. These classes are hard but the teacher makes all the difference . Stay away if any way possible.

I find her to be very fair and helpful. It definitely is challenging material, but I think she teaches in a very straight forward way. All test questions come straight from the her lecture notes. I barely cracked the textbook. Lab is definitely taught in a "do-it-yourself" way, but she walks around and answers questions as needed.

i studied for a long time for the tests & still couldn't pass them. she doesn't help in lab just gives you a list & says find this & know it for the test. when asking a question she doesn't answer the question directly & pretty much avoids it. when i asked her what i could do to pass she said get A's on the next tests or you have no chance.

she is the worst teacher at COC. all she does is repeat everything off her powerpoint, might as well not go to class! in lab she just tells u wat to do no explanations and when you ask her a question she gives unclear answers. she seems not to care. i wish there was another prof this semester, but she was the only one! horrible i do not recommend!

As per the comments below, Prof Cynthia was not at all helpful in lab, we were basically on our own with everything. When we ask her something, she always give us the run around. And mind you, everyone in our class worked so hard on everything. I love A&P 1 and did great (A), but this class was truly disappointing. Lab tests were very disorganized!

Prof.Cynthia is one of the hardest teachers I had ever had. There is just way to much info being taught, and you must know all! I had taken AP part 1 and that was so much fun, but this class really disappointed me. No hints given for test(6 tests.Lab tests are also plenty to study with models, cats, slides and pictures. Final Note:Learn everything!

She is smart, but useless. Her lectures are easy and basic and her tests are very difficult and detailed, they are surprising, some of her questions also have more than one correct answer and you have to be able to use your own judgment to chose the best one. Very hard. If you want to learn and get an A, I really don't recommend her to anyone!

Took her for 204 and 205. Let me be clear, she is hard, but incredibly helpful, and my favorite prof so far! Plan on studying at least 10 hours a week and not missing class. Does everything on PwrPt, gives it to you to study from, and tests from. Tests are hard, but hey, what do ya expect.

Nice person. I took 204 with her and I found that she is very helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside is that her tests are very hard. Pay full attention during her lectures (take good notes) and make useful time out of the lab hours and you'll be fine.

She is a nice lady, but as far as her teaching skills go...I would not take her agian! I had to repeat the class with another teacher (along with many other students) and got an A. I learned more in honors A&P in high school than I did with her.

Requires rediculous amounts of detail for an intro class. 1/3rd of the class dropped after the first test and another quarter of the class probably failed. She is very nice and really knows her stuff, but her lectures are dry at best and her tests are tough.

DO NOT take her! Gives way too much info at a time so you can't retain anything. Tests on every single thing she lectures on. Grade based on tests ONLY & the tests are hard. She's sweet & answers your questions but teaches way beyond community college level. She teaches as if you're at her level. She's hard at first & it will get much worse. RUN!!!

Dr. Kay-Nish was extremely helpful and accommodating during my semester in her Biology 204 class. Yes, the class is hard and full of information, but what do you expect? When she says on the syllabus to study 18-24 hours a week, she means it. I would recommend her to anyone. Comes off very strong at first, but she was a fabulous professor.

This professor is really helpful and knows her stuff very well. she explains everything and doesn't get tired of answering questions, infact, during lab she's always walking around answering students' questions. she's very nice and has a nice sense of humor. i'm definitely taking her anatomy/physiology class next semester.

A LOT of information to learn, but she knows her stuff! Her lecture tests can be pretty tough, but the lab tests are much better. I never used the text book, and most all of her test questions come from her lectures.
