Powerpoint lectures are available outside of class, test reviews are given before each test, one project is due within the entire semester. He is a great guy who is passionate about his job. Sometimes he talks a little too much about his experiences as a psychologist which eats up class time, but overall he is a solid choice! :D

The only homework given was a one page book report. If you take good notes and jot down examples given by him, you wont need the textbook. Test are multiple choice and extra credit are open ended responses.

Professor Grangaard is my favorite professor I've ever had. I took his Intro to Psychology class this summer and it was the best decision. I will definitely take his class again. He gives review sessions before tests(go to these), and gives opportunities for extra credit. Definitely choose this professor for your psychology courses!

Professor Grangaard's class was so entertaining! We watched many film clips, listened to his personal stories as a psychologist, and even had two guest speakers. I made an A, by completeing the study guide, reviewing the powerpoints, and doing the 5 point article review (used the book maybe 4× the entire semester) . Easy and an enjoyable class!!

Amazing teacher, had him for human sexuality and intro to psych and received a B in both. 4 tests multiple choice, and if you put in effort to your book report you can get over 100%. Always has good stories to tell, and cares about students. Will miss him a lot leaving ACC. Really recommend taking him for both, he's awesome.

Dr. Grangaard is by far the best professor I've ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable in the field of psychology, among other things. This course was so much fun to take, and he loves to teach it. This was the one class I always looked forward to. The grades are straightforward, and he offers easy extra credit on every test. Take this class!

Great professor. He has experience as a psychologist and brings plenty of examples that relate to the subjects he teaches. He seems to really like teaching these subjects. There is a textbooks needed for the class although I did not purchase it and did just fine in the course.

It's so obvious that Dan enjoys what he teaches & it makes listening to him so easy. Very clear cut and to the point as far as grades, 4 tests & a book report on a book you choose. Don't be nervous, it's SO easy & actually FUN to do. Just needs to be one page long. Lots of years of experience in psych field so he always brought in his own stories.

Fun lectures and hilarious discussions. Dan is a really friendly and easy going guy. At the end of the semester he kept mentioning how much he was going to miss our class. He truly enjoys teaching, I wish more of my professors were as energetic and happy to be there as he is.

Funny, down to earth, always have million stories from his own experience. 4 tests and one easy paper on a book that you pick yourself. I enjoyed his class a lot. If I studied more, would have gotten an A. Everything is fair with him. Loves questions and participation

Professor Grangaard is a great professor. He made lectures very entertaining by talking about his experiences in the field. When material got confusing, I went to him for help and he explained the concepts very well. He gave extra credit to improve exam scores. I wish he was teaching PSYC2308 this Spring. I definitely recommend him.

I wish I could take Human Sexuality with him again! I loved this class. I bought the book and it is quite helpful to understand the material but is not necessary for tests. There are five grades: four exams and one book report. Classes are lecture/discussion style. Go to class and take lecture notes and you will have an easy and enjoyable A!

I really enjoy Dr. Grangaard's class. His lectures are always interesting, and he really is a sweet and funny guy. His tests are always over topics he discusses in class, and he gives you plenty of opportunities to succeed in the class. If you come to class and pay attention to his lectures you will get a good grade.

Professor Grangaard's lectures are always interesting because he relates the topics we are learning about to patients he has had in the past. Always funny! Tests are based on lectures, so go to class, take notes, and study and you should be able to pass. He wants you to buy the textbook and keep up with the readings, but I don't and I'm fine.

Summer 6 week course. Be aware that Intro to Psyc is a lot of information to retain. So you really have to stay on top of your reading but most of all attend class. Gives great lectures and tests are based on lectures, so don't really need the book if you go to class. Test review questions on his website and a review sessions offered prior to test

Best Professor to date. Applies stories about his practice to the material which makes it entertaining. Funny, nice guy. You have to be part of the chatty little kiddos in the back row, or a complete moron to not pass. He's funny, lectures exactly what he tests on, and gives a review session day before the test. Show up, pay attention, get an A.

The best professor I have had, by far. As long as you attend lecture, take notes (he tests on what he lectures), and don't get distracted when he shows you video clips (can review them online), you'll pass with flying colors. Shares experiences in lectures. Makes it easy to retain information, because his lectures are both practical and enjoyable.

"I had this client once..." "I had this woman in group..." "There was this patient at the hospital..." Get ready for half of each class to be about this stuff. You also never know what is relevant and what isn't because he'll throw in test questions about his random stories and then not ask anything to do with the actual lecture of that day.
