If you like Shark Tank, then this class is up your alley. This was one of my favorite classes at Fisher, he gives so many of his real world experiences which is a nice change from the academic lectures.. regarding his attitude, he is from New York so yeah, but once you look past that, it's a great class- I recommend it as one of your electives.

The class is ok but it doesn't really have a structure its pretty much just lose accumulations of what Dan thinks is important. Youll bounce around from subject to subject like nobody's business. The class is not really that hard but it gets annoying to watch 2 1/2 hrs of lecture videos a week. Also the poster assignment is dumb and super heavy.

His class is OK. If you are not a native English speaker his class is not for you. Be careful when you ask him questions, he might tell you your question is insane.

Professor Oglevee is a bit difficult to deal with at first, but he teaches his class with a purpose. If you are willing to pay attention in class, show up, and read the articles, you will be able to fully take advantage of the class. One of my favorite classes at Ohio State!

He teaches and acts the way he does for a reason, to get you prepared for the real world. He doesn't sugarcoat anything and will tell you how it is whether you like it or not. The subject matter is not that difficult so no need to worry if you go to class. He is a wealth of info so take advantage of it while you still can.

Dan is a good guy as long as you don't believe a word he says. He's got this impressive smokescreen but when you peel back the onion, that whats you have. A stinky onion making you cry. He's very nice-to-your-face and forgets you the moment you walk away kinda guy. Dan cares about 1 thing. Dan. A perfect professor for Game of Thrones

Interesting class if you're interested in what it takes to start a business. However, it is VERY MUCH based on his opinion. Should be called "The Life Of Daniel Oglevee." He is very narcissistic and it does tend to get annoying. However, easy class. Just do the reading and come prepared.

Dan's financial modeling class was the most useful 7-weeks of my MBA. This class revolved around building an arsenal of wall-street-grade financial models and preparing group case models to defend in class. Learned a LOT about formatting in excel, but it's made an immediate impact on my effectiveness at work. Expect to work for 7 weeks but worth it

Without a doubt, the best professor I've had as both an undergraduate and now as an MBA at Ohio State. Dan has developed a persona and reputation for being a tough professor and he lives up to it. He lives by the adage "first class work in a first class way", and demands high standards from his students. I've taken every class he teaches.

this class is like being homeschooled. You are completely on your own. The prof never returned emails and didnt have office hours. One of the worst classes Ive ever taken. The class is easy until the last two weeks. The class is basically run by the TA. Oglevee was NEVER available, the TA was an idiot. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

This is a required class for finance major. And it is way too much. Not difficult or anything. Just we need to build excel sheet all over. kind of remind me of CS&E tho. His instruction was very unclear, especially at the beginning, we were so lost.

Oglevee is a great guy but certainly one of the most difficult classes you can take. I would say finance students have a distinct advantage in his class over entrepreneur students since there is alot of fin modeling. Good life lessons and good professor but just very hard

Oglevee is awesome. His style of teaching isn't for everyone, but its definitely a unique approach. The thing I like about the class is that I felt the work I put into it reflected my grade, which I can't really say for any other Fisher class. Anyways, don't ask too many questions about the class; its an adventure and knowing 2 much would spoil it.

Professor Oglevee has extensive experience in the business world. He has worked on Wall Street and been an entrepreneur. He spends at least 20 minutes of each class session telling stories (which are very enriching) and giving tips on succeeding in business. He has high expectations but you will learn more as a result. Fantastic class.
