Comment:

Loose class structure and heavily focused on group discussion. This is where the best insight and ideas come from. He allows his students to take the lead and this makes for a an environment with all kinds of differing opinions and ideas. He's a great moderator, a caring and kind man, and a solid professor. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Dave is super. He cares about what everyone has to say and wants to help you with things inside and outside of ENG101. He explains concepts thoroughly, sometimes too much, but he just wants to make sure everyone understands the material. Great stories about why ENG101 is important. Can be VERY late with grading, but he's trying. Don't buy books!!

Was almost always late to class by a good 10 minutes. We only had one paper - he NEVER gave it back to us. All we did was sit there and talk about the book we were supposed to read while he gave us lofty philosophical questions that barely had anything to do with scifi. If you like to sit and chat about random stuff that's fine.

Not hard teacher but he is late often. He doesn't grade your work. You will have no idea whole semester how you are doing. He does not tell you much about how to write the papers either. He did do some flexible due dates since he was not grading. If you like consistency Dave is not your guy. Library can get book in you won't use it much.

Likeable guy, worst instructor I have ever had. I have never met anybody that is as lazy of a professor as him. He is late every single day by at least 10 minutes. Says he is never on time to anything. Never posts grades. There is no structure to the class, he just talks about what is on his mind. Nice guy... TERRIBLE TEACHER.

He has not passed back any of the three essays he has assigned the class to write, and it is mid July. He makes excuses that are lame about why he has not got our papers. I am not impressed. He is cool as a person, very likable, etc., but not a good instructor.

David Brown's class is what got me through the semester. We watched movies, talked about the movie, and he brought up questions to provoke thought. There is no test, but there is a lot of writing assignments. He doesn't turn back the assignments, but if you give him what he ask for in a paper, then you'll have no problems.

I have taken Mr. Brown for two literature classes. I love the way he is genuinely interested in what you have to say and undrestands that you have a life outside of college. He is fun and I highly reccomend him!

Took him for social issues in tech class, class was pretty easy it's a good elective for people taking a full course load, he is lenient about late work and class is mostly discussion based. Highly recommend.

so i was really worried about taking him with the mixed reviews, but honestly i think he has gotten his sh!t together because he's a fantastic teacher. I do not recommend this teacher to anyone. he will hold onto papers for over a month and then finally hand them back. Very disorganized as well. Does not give you a chance to rework papers. I don't see how the school continues to keep him around.

Mr. Brown is a laid back guy you is passionate about English. He knows his stuff. Sometimes his explainations are confusint, but then again I am horrible and English Comp. Would take him again.
