Comment:

Young, cheerful and a bit unapologetically snarky when students collectively act like zombies. He is one of the few professors I have had for whom it was clear that he is awake while teaching (Sip coffee, sip coffee)! Presents the material clearly: if not for the online quizzes, you would not even have to read. Grades for ideas, not writing.

Comment:

Has a cool TA/tutor that livens up the place and really helps you out come essay time. Seek her out... Each student is not just a number, he knows everyone's name and is very helpful/funny in office hours. I didn't like the topic because it is a gen ed and I don't care how I know that this marker is black, etc, but he is very nice, young and cool.

A largely unknown gem of the philosophy department who, unlike most gems, isn't the least bits pretentious... and I can't leave this out: his bobbing shoulders laugh is essentially the cutest thing ever.

The poor guy is brilliant and is teaching about 60 dead fish washed up to shore every Tuesday and Thursday. Somehow, he always seems to be in a good mood, always teaches you what you have to know and if you visit him during office hours he'll put you in a good mood too. Down to earth, FUNNY and insightful about college. Excellent taste in clothes.

Easy A, you don't even really have to read, just pay attention in class (I got an A and stopped reading halfway through), and partake in discussion. He's a really friendly guy, if you need this for a gen ed, DEFINITELY take it with him. Ethics too. After taking his class I decided to minor in philosophy.

Dave is very confusing, often wrong, and confuses himself more than he does teach us anything. I reccomend a different teacher for PHL111. Although he is a very nice guy, he isn't a very clear professor.

He is really genuinely concerned about how his students do in his class, he repeats the material in order for everyone to understand. He's a very intelligent man, and if you're intelligent, some of the things he says are witty and absolutely hilarious. He's young, and lenient, and a fairly easy grader. I recommend this class. <3 Dave!

Unprofessional & Boring, doesnt seem to have a grasp on what it is he is teaching so he relates more on the books. I would have rather just took this class with someone who was more experience in this feild because obviously he is still learning

He is mad cool, keep in touch with him, on any problems you are having and he is most reasonable. Easy to talk to, will do what ever he can to make sure you have a complete understanding of the material. In his class you can only fail yourself, you come to class, you pass that simple!!!

Dave is a good teacher that is a fair grader. He keeps the discussions relatively interesting for the most part. This class is an easy A if you do the work and you're not an idiot. The tests are pretty easy, and you don't have to take a final during finals week. Highly recommended

I loved his class. He is such a fun professor and if you listen to him he says some really funny stuff. Also if you go and talk to him he is really great guy hes also easy going and forgiving although he doesnt respond to emails. His classes if you sit and actively think about it will kinda make your brain twist. VERY FUN CLASS!

1st half of semester was boring- even he couldn't get himself hyped over it. 2nd half much better. Ask him anything, he'll usually concede. want to do your paper with a partner? ask. want to have class outside? ask. great guy and good teacher if you're willing to participate in class discussions. if your not, it's your own fault for being bored.

SOOOO Boring but that can be said for most phil classes. If you can mudder through his lectures, he pretty much tells you exactly what you need to know for tests and papers. And he pretty much specifies all paper requirements to a T so if you talk with him you can get a good grade. Willing to help

oh i hated this man. he waited till the last 3 classes to give us 2 assignments one 7pages long and the other 5. his class is soo boring he talks in circles had me lost all semester. He is very un helpful. he would tell us to email him if we had questions but he would never get back 2 us. if i was you i would stay off away from his class.
