He is a wonderful human being and a great professor. The class is really intriguing, I enjoyed learning every bit. Four take home exams and short homework assignments. Take him for your own good.

Really smart guy. He takes attendance but you don't have to show up. Actually, you don't really need to read at all either. I went to class sparingly and read the summaries of the lectures he sends out after every class. Read that, read the thinking sheets, and set aside a little bit of time. Not too bad. Great class.

Such a sweet, old man. Go to class and take notes and you will do fine. A lot of homework but you can do them in class and turn things in late/ by email. I would HIGHLY recommend taking him!

Ozar is a great professor! Loved his class.You have hw everyday, but they are easy, comes straight from the lectures.Plus, he goes over them in class so I pretty much did a majority of my hw in class and got a hundred. All the exams are take home. They require time to do but not hard at all. If you show up and take notes, i guarantee you an A!

The poor ratings are obviously from people who expect college to be an easy ride. Ozar is an amazing man. He is kind, truly compassionate, & he is one of the few professors who actually care about their students. Take home tests (requires work), and daily homework assignments. If you go to class, and actually pay attention, easy A.

Ozar is a great professor. The negative ratings clearly come from people who refuse to put in the small amount of effort his homework assignments take. EVERY exam including the Final is a take home test. I did them all the night before, spent around 90 minutes on each and got 100% on all of them. It is not a difficult class and Ozar is very kind.

I can tell Ozar is a nice guy outside of class, but I just can't like this class. His lectures are dull, there is a lot of work, and it is hard to do well on the exams. If you are taking this for a PHIL Core, choose something else, cause it's not worth the time and effort just for a Core class.

HORRIBLE TEACHER. He's a nice guy, and he gives you take-home tests, but the take-home tests take about 10 hours to complete. Not an exaggeration. Also, after spending so much time on the exam, it is VERY difficult to recieve an A. Take him if you want to do crazy amounts of work and want to struggle to get an A. Good luck.

His class is relatively easy but it is very boring. He does take attendance and there is homework due everyday but you don't have to turn it in on the day it is due, you have until the test to turn it in. His tests are take home but they are confusing because his lectures are confusing. Overall he is a pretty good professor, but he is kind of dry.

I'm surprised he has bad ratings, really intelligent & nice guy, his lectures prepare you 100% for take home exams, even though he puts up assignments late it doesn't matter because they're super easy, always willing to help students whenever they need it

Very nice, but super wordy and over the top with his documents and lectures. Lectures are slightly boring, but he gets the point across. 10 homework assignments that aren't due until the last class if you choose to do so (!). 4 take home tests, one being the final. No in class tests or quizzes. Weird grading scale. Allows up to 4 absences

This guy is seriously very nice, and can be fun/interesting, but he's not very clear. He gives assignments extremely late in the period (like the day before they're due), and his lectures don't help much with what you learn. He's also surprisingly specific on tests. If you put an effort into understanding it, you can get a good grade, maybe.

Lectures boring and disorganized he just talks and talks. He uses his dental ethic book in all his classes and his unpublished papers. He picks clear favorites, so try not to get on his bad side your grade will suffer.

Really nice guy,loads of experience in health care. Admittedly his classes can be a bit dull but there are many opportunities to ask deep questions and he wrote one of the textbooks we used. I would take him again in a heartbeat. Easy homework due once a week, 3 take home exams and non comp final.Also really willing it help in office hours!TAKE HIM
