Comment:

Took her 8wk course, and it wasnt bad at all. Class is designed weekly and they are lecture-speech-lecture speech. Speeches are separated into 2 groups. So ur presenting to a smaller group on speech nights. She does blackboard assignments and asks questions from the book, but I passed without having to get the book. I recommend her if u need this!

I took her hybrid class, so it was speech-lecture-speech-lecture until the 8 weeks were over. She lets you pick the topic that you're going to give a speech about. Her blackboard assignments are easy and she is so fun! She makes it easier to get up and give a speech. Take her class!!

Professor Craig-Claar is one of the best professors I have ever taken. I say it is an easy A because she is very clear about what she wants, and gives the right amount of detail so the students are able to fully apply themselves. She is humorous and easy to listen to while she lectures. I am finishing the 8 week course and highly recommend her.

I was afraid to take a speech class. Dr. Claar made this class very relaxed and was always willing to help. I took her 8 week hybrid class. Great communication with the students. Posts grades very timely. Gives really good feed back that makes you feel confident in what yourself and the assignment you've posted.

I absolutely hate speech classes but she made it so easy to get through. The mid term and finals are open note and the study guides she hands out have everything you need to know. My speeches weren't that great and I still got good grades on them, she's always cheery too!

I took they Hybrid Speech class and it was great. Dr Claar is a great professor and I would highly recommend her. It was an 8 week course and it fly by. You have to give a speech every other week. Pay attention in class and follow her instructions. Prepare and you will do well. For the assignments full paragraph answers to the questions.

I DID NOT want to take this class. Dr Claar made it SO painless. Took the 8 week hybrid class and it was over before I knew it. She is so nice and helpful, the midterm and final are take home. Also--The class was split in half for speech days which made it SO MUCH better with less people to give speeches to.

She's very nice and helpful. Makes the class environment very warm and comfortable. She lets you use notes, mid-term is very easy, speeches aren't so bad as long as you practice and know what you're talking about!! Definitely one of the easiest and friendliest professors I've ever had.

I DREADED taking speech. I saved it for my very last class. I took it as a hybrid, so it was over in 8 wks. If you can take Dr. Craig-Claar! She is the nicest, most helpful instructor I've ever had! She makes it way less intimidating and is willing to help in any way she can. Have to say she was one of my very favorite instructors!

I was dreading speech but when I took this class, it was actually very fun. You get to pick your topics that YOU are interested in. For the hybrid summer class, all homework was online. You had 3 speeches to do and 1 group presentation. She was very helpful and made sure you understood what was expected of you. I recommend her!

A wonderful, cheerful teacher! I hate public speaking so I took the 8 week class so it would go faster. And I'm so glad I took it with her! She is very clear, works us up to longer speeches, and is very encouraging. The midterm and final are so easy. You will not regret taking Speech from her!

If you show up to class you'll pass. Midterm and Final are based on the notes you take. Her Lectures are on PowerPoint. If you have any questions about anything shes happy to help you. She's a really nice teacher. The only homework is preparing for your speeches. I dont think you really need the book. Im passing and havn't used it.

I really enjoyed this class overall. She is a good presenter and makes it more interesting than it probably is. There was a lot more research and writing than I expected, and in the 8 week class you have to get up to speed fast.
