Comment:
Dr. Earl is a great professor, I would not recommend taking Intro to Philosophy from him. Take him when you have done some philosophical work and your mind is primed for what he teaches. Very intelligent and always down to help you after class to understand something. This man made me more intelligent

Do not take his class. He gives way too much work for an intro class. And he heavily use the book. The material he teaches in class is confusing and the tests are even more confusing

Dr. Earl was not a good professor. He seemed annoyed much of the time, and he managed to make an interesting subject really boring. I would suggest taking this class from someone else.

Great teacher. Very interesting class. If you take down his notes and do the bare amount of studying you will do very well on his tests. Nothing to difficult.

He is kind of rude. Told me the second day of class I had a quiz question wrong, so I showed him where I was right via the book. Then was spiteful and made the class do a 12 question pop quiz in 3 minutes. Very spiteful teacher

His class is beyond easy to do good in if you mark your calendar for when everything is due. Everything is online- quizzes, discussions, and exams. You NEED the book. He doesn't make attendance mandatory but I personally think he is spiteful to you if he realizes you don't show up. He's kinda of a jerk but the class itself is easyyyy

He comes off as arrogant at first, but he really isnt once you get to know him. He makes weird jokes that I think are funny. Is very flamboyant and animated, making the lectures entertaining. The material is interesting to, he encourages commentary/ participation from the class, so a great atmosphere to express your opinions. I'd take him.

This class can be a bit challenging, but he is a GREAT teacher. And he is a stuuudddd. Tests are all fairly similar and the quizes are all take-home. The final exam is just a final unit test too!

Really hard to follow - my head hurts after his class. I positively hated his written assignments. The tests weren't too bad once you got past the first test. Very nice as a person. Unlike everyone else evidently, I have never seen him have a bad temper. Maybe he just liked my class...

his tests are kinda tough, but it is only becuase the material is kinda tough. he kept class interesting by always having discussions and letting us talk on subject whenever we wanted. he is a real stickler for having things in on time and not using up his class time to talk with friends. just stay on point and you will do fine.

Drips "intellectual arrogance" vibes. Apparantly doesn't understand a Phd in Phil is the intellectual equivalant to a Phd of basket weaving without the benefit of a marketable skill. Secretly wants to be a English prof spends more time correcting mechanics than content. Has an annoying habit of repeating the last three words of his sentences.
