He is an easy grader. He is super nice and pretty understanding. He can get boring during his lecture. If you participate and pay attention in class, you will do well. You read 5 books and have to write a 2 page paper on each. He gave the midterm questions in advance and had the same exact ones on the midterm. Overall, very good and pretty easy.

I love Dr. Buckley. Some people dont like him becasue all he talks about are the books he assigns, but hes very dedicated to them. Also, his accent is bloody amazing. If u take a step back and stop judging him for being a teacher, youre gonna love him too. We had to read about 5 books but they werent even that bad. LOVE him

Very easy, but his lecture flow is kind of inconsistent. Assigns a 2-page paper after each book is read. The midterm was take home. Sometimes his questions aren't clear enough for us, so it's awkward when no one can answer a question properly. You have to be very patient if you want to take and survive his class.

I took him for the travel study to Ireland class. He's the sweetest old man. His accent isn't that difficult to understand. He's willing to help. Just make sure to attend class, because his pet peeve is missing classes. I would recommended him

Enjoyed the books, the discussions, and his clogs! Best advice, get the reading book list a month before class, read as much as you can before class starts and you will be a step ahead. i liked Buckley and enjoyed the class.

Material is very tough, but Buckley is one of the most intelligent people I know. He has a great deal of things on his plate, and he sometimes appears disorganized, but he really wants his students to do the work and be successful. He is Irish not Scottish. You either hate him or love him. Great teacher! Fair!
