Comment:

Probably the best professor in the subject of history I have had up to this point. He is brilliant in his subject matter, and instead of lecturing about the textbook and throwing dates on the board through the entire class, he provides his perspective and how the future is influenced so much by the past. If you want to learn history well take him!!

Comment:

Great professor who REALLY teaches and cares that his student learn beyond the classroom.He is unbiased and is an amazing human. He has a school in Africa he himself founded. He does lecture for about half the class and reading is a must.But overall a class I have never regretted taking or in which was bored, it was the epitome of EDUCATION.

I don't usually say this but he is extremely boring. Test are based off the book so the only point in showing up to class is to catch up on sleep. Very lenient with grades.

You children have no idea what sort of resource you have in this man. To have the perspective on America given from the view of this extraordinarily talented African man? Think about it. I go to class now to listen to this man speak. Wise up and do the same. The tests are easy if you study the book. Where was this guy when I was in High School?

The teacher does not even try to make this subject interesting. You basically go to class for him to tell you to read the book. He has a lot of very strong political views and shares them every class session. Study the book and his study guides and you should be ok. He curves his grades. No open book final in the class i took. He can be very rude.

WITHOUT A DOUBT THE MOST BORING TEACHER ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET! HE DOESNT LEAVE HIS SEAT AND HE HAS A REALLY HEAVY ACCENT. i almost never went to class and when i did i was sleeping, and i NEVER even opened the book. he curves his test so much its close to impossible to fail

VERY harsh on attendance. You can't rely on his lectures for the 3 tests throughout the semester. Study the study guide he gives out and manage to get at least a B. Not the best.

For his class its all about the paper and the tests. There is really no reason to go to class except for finding out when the tests are. Just do the study guides take the tests and hope for the best. His lectures and thought process is kind of everywhere and he has yelled at kids before, so as long as you just keep your mouth shut your fine.

Only he does not write on board he just talks and taking notes is really pointless, test are based on the text book. Lecture is pointless. Avoid class, stay home and read the book you will be fine. Nothing in lecture is on the test and if it is, it is very minimal and not worth sitting through the entire class time. Wish would have known this earlier, I most likely would have got an "A". Typically I take good notes and thats good enough for test but not here.

Pretty easy class as long as you study the study guide. But be aware the notes you take in class usually don't pertain to the test you take, and sometimes his study guides jump through chapters that you aren't studying. If you take it during a short semester it's super easy, because he doesn't require any essays. Really enjoys what he teaches

3 EXAMS. FINAL IS OPEN BOOK. ONE BOOK REVIEW. CLASS IS NOT MANDATORY, DOESNT CHECK ATTENDANCE. A LOT OF VIDEOS. VERY EASY CLASS. IF YOU KNOW YOUR GENERAL HISTORY PRETTY WELL, YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THE BOOKS. I PASSED THE CLASS WITHOUT IT, COMMON SENSE. HE KNOWS HIS HISTORY THOUGH, HES PRETTY FUNNY AT TIMES. GOOD OVERALL.
