Dr. Heard is a very nice, sweet lady. The class time itself is pretty boring, but I think the material was interesting. I have had much more interesting HUM professors but this is an easy class as long as you do your work and study for the tests (test review helps a lot!) attendance is mandatory so be prepared to be bored for hours, every week!

DO NOT LISTEN TO ANY ONE ELSE! She is a great teacher, rather monotone - very laid back. Easy A if you sit through the lectures and watch the videos.... reading is minimum under ~20pgs wk tests, 4 papers allows late work with with minor consequence. if you don't have the intention span to sit through the class you paid for, don't waste your time.

Comment:

Nice lady, but class is a snooze fest. Usually lets out early. Very old-school; stands at front of class & lectures from handwritten notes. Very little class participation but allows know-it-all students to take over. 3 easy papers & a cultural project-if you hate plays and art museums, you'll hate the project. I learned nothing. Don't take!

Teacher is rather old. But she is still very nice and respectful to her students. Watched a lot of videos. Kind of hard to sit through her monotone lectures because humanities is already boring. Papers are easy A's and the class is an easy A. You have to take humanities so might as well take an easy teacher. Recomend

Dr. Heard is one of the best professors that I have ever had. She is the sweetest little lady, and very helpful. Compared to the other HUM professors that I have had, she doesn't give that much work. Easy A!

Teacher is old and boring, but we usually watched videos, looked at slides or read stories in groups in class. Have to write 6000 words for G. Rule, but all papers just ask your opinion so there's no research, and u can procrastinate on those and still get A's. She gives you a great study guide for tests.. but you have to actually look at it!!

she is an old lady who knows her stuff but sadly doesn't have the spark to teach it. if it wasnt for my girlfriend i would have got out of that class the first week. but after a 23 page study guide, 6 essays, 1500 word cultural project, and 3 tests i did manage to get a B.

she is so boring! I had trouble staying awake most of the time. I felt the classtime was a total waste. She had us watching a lot of boring movies and doing pointless busywork. The tests were straight from the study guide. If you do the work, you'll pass.

Nice, intelligent little old lady. Wise and compassion, some papers are tough subjects, but grades easily. tests straight from study guide. lectures can be dry and bland. never lecture for too long. always let out early.

Full of lots of wisdom and is a professor who truly loves HUMANITIES. Straight forward assignements and tests. Class lectures can at times be boring and somewhat dry, missing that spark, to motivate students to want to learn the subject. Overall Recommend
