Comment:

Good notes provided, review on-line videos, and participate in lab. She is firm but very supportive. She will come in on her days off to give extra test reviews for students. She will give homework but doesn't drown you with it. She provides clear explanations and is fair. One of the best professors around.

Great instructor. I can not say enough good about Dr Tanabe! Breaks complex topics into understandable terms and builds them up again so deep dive issues are understandable. Pro-student (really cares) will go the extra mile for you to ensure you do well. Approachable, firm, fair. Teaches the concepts vs parrot back terms ie you actually learn.

Tanabe is difficult. So be ready to work! She does not answer all questions, because she believes in figuring things out for yourself. Lecture notes are helpful, however you must know some common sense for her tests and know how to apply your material. She can be rude and intimidating.

Comment:

Dr. Tanabe is a great teacher who is dedicated to science. She is very smart and patient. She expects you to show up and put forth effort. She gives you printed notes that covers everything that will be on her test. She also has lecture videos recorded. She is funny, and i wish she taught my other science classes! Highly recommend!

Dr. Tanabe is at the top of my list for professors at Yuba College. She'll go out of her way (holding a exam study session on a Sunday) for students to help them succeed. She's got a great sense of humor, respects her students, and grades fair. However, YOU have to do your part and study, attend class, and be respectful. She's a great BS detector.

Dr. Tanabe is awesome. She won't give you an easy A and expects you to be responsible for your homework and lab work. She isn't your mom and she will not act like either. Her class isn't hard if you study and complete your work on time. I got an A and I am proud for it.

She is an AMAZING teacher. I wish she taught all of my biology classes. She makes sure you understand it and if you don't she will help you until you do. Her tests are completely fair and she is intimidating in lab so make sure you pay attention! Definitely recommend her!

Dr. Tanabe is an awesome professor. She GOES OUT OF HER WAY to make sure you know the material. Nearly every exam, she did a review session.. ON HER DAY OFF! She even came out to the college on a Sunday after church. She added extra credit to every exam (usually from the labs and videos). She really cares about her students! Take Tanabe!

I had a night instructor which was a nightmare. Tanabe is so clear tho and explains concepts so well. U must attend bc so much info. Turn in all hw u will need every point. Lab is long and tedious and she isnt always helpful. I enjoy her tho she really knew her stuff and u knew what she expected.

I love her! She is pretty intense in lab, but as long as you are prepared before class and finish your labs, you'll be okay. I wish every professor taught liker her. If you are willing to give your time for the class you will be fine. Enjoy her because she is one of those teachers that doesn't throw in crap out of the blue.
