Among the best professors I've ever had the pleasure to know. He pushed really hard to make his point. I would trust this man with my life even though it's been ten years since I was in his classroom.

I had him for Asian philosphy and he was really easy, but boring. His exams are all based on class notes, not the book.

WORST teacher ever!!! his notes were basically random words on the board which he repeatedly re circled over and over again, not only was he monotone which makes things boring, he never really did anything. Every week we took the same horrible notes over again. He had no attendance policy really but his grading system seemed heavily flawed.

This class is terrible! Instead of a class where there is discussion about ethical situations in the world today, he stands in front of the class and talks at us, and scribbles on the blackboard. It is hard to stay awake and impossible to follow his train of thought. If you want to be in ethics class that gets you thinking, don't take this one.

Nice Guy. Very helpful. The class is hard, but interesting. If you miss class you must come to office hours. Office hours are almost a must to get an A. You either like him or you don't. He demands a lot, so you have to work hard.

This class is super boring!! I guess you have to really be into ethics to enjoy this. I would fall asleep every class. The test are hard because a lot of it is on lecture which I could not get myself to listen to. However, he is willing to help you if you need it.

The class is no longer offered, but it was basically Intro Philosophy. Kaitz was great, good lecturing with a mix of discussion. He does grade based on a few tests which are EASY (1 or two paragraphs to explain a concept that with any effort you could have learned), so if you don't do the "learning" thing, then don't take his class. Take good notes

I hade Ed my freshman year and he opened my eyes to the world of Philosophy. His class discussions are very thought provoking. I loved coming to his class everyday! You do have to attened every class to do well on his exams though. People either love him or hate him, but I loved him!

I did not like his class or his teaching at all! I had a hard time understanding his lectures. I had to research the material online and learn it all on my own. We only had 3 grades in that class (quiz, midterm, final) that was it! If i had not researched it on my own, i wouldnt' have passed his class! dont take him if u dont kno the subject

Man, I hated this guy. I thought he did a hack job teaching the material. I thought he completely butchered some of the central philosophical ideas he was attempting to teach. I did not appreciate his surface level analysis either. I thought he came off as a pompus ass alot of the time.

I'm usually up for a challenge... but I do not appreciate having to study six hours for an exam and STILL end up with a B. Kaitz is such a hard grader; no matter how well you think you know the material, it's never good enough. Half of my class failed! Good luck!

This professor is the shiza. I have never been so fascinated by the realm of western and eastern ethics until I took this class. The materials are definitely eye-opening. His exams are hard, but if you attend EVERY class, it is 100 percent certain that you will ace his class. :)

He's good. The material is hard, though. But that's ethics. His classes are very interesting. Take his class during the winter intersession. We skipted a lot of readings. Only two mid-terms and one final, that's it. Just gotta understand each philosopher's central idea of good & bad.

He is NOT unfair. He expects you to understand and know his material, not memorize. You must take thorough notes for his class, and make sure you comprehend the ideas. On tests, you compare the ideas of the philosophers and basically exhibit your understanding. You really have to LEARN the info!

haha he does look like ed harris. would not recommend if y'all are looking for EASY ethics professors. the exams are easy if u memorize all the notes in class. just ask the section before u. also, i think he recycles his tests. ;)
