Comment:

Eilene is very discouraging and rude. Normally I enjoy proofreading and fixing errors, but this course is like pulling teeth. She loves to make unnecessary comments in assignment feedback rather than directly tell you what you did wrong. Lots of "How could you not do this?", "I can't believe you did this like this!", etc. Avoid if you can.

So old, so disorganized, and its impossible to tell what worksheets she gives are just for practice and whats actually graded. She gets pissy with you if you ask for clarification on anything. Save everything cuz shell hand back graded assignments without actually putting them in the grade book and then ask you for them in week 10.

Comment:

It is important to feel comfortable enough to ask questions to understand better but she picks on you to the point where you don't want to raise your hand. Ever. It is embarrassing and it makes you feel like an idiot. "Keep working hard." goes much further than "How could you get that wrong?" I wish she were more encouraging.

Think you're grammar savvy? Nope. This class prepares you for the real job world. Eilene is amazing - she cares about this subject with a passion. She's a tough grader and gives a ton of homework, lots of detailed feedback, all of which makes you learn the material. I learned more than any class I've taken.

She offers students help regularly but being an online class all other feedback is limited to which problems on homework assignments and quizzes that one got wrong making her come off as terse. Her homework schedule was rather disorganized having assignments due on potentially any day of the week. The moodle page for her class was poorly organized.

Ms. LePelley assigns enough homework to drown in. She is unorganized so due dates are often unclear, and her lectures are hard to follow. That being said, she is a kind woman and goes out of her way to help students. All tests are open-book.

Took this class as a hybrid class. She is a great teacher and knows what she is talking about. Sort of a hard grader though. But that may just come with the subject. I really liked her and would take another one of her classes. This class was harder than I had expected.

Greatest Instructor a person could ask for. She takes more time than any other staying at school or in the Lab to assist students. As long as you half way apply yourself she's there for you. I wouldn't have passed a few classes had it not been for her and even a couple of those classes were not taught by her but she helped anyway. One Fine Lady
