Comment:

Professor Lombard offers a comprehensive curriculum to understand the environment and policy. He gives bi-weekly assignments which makes the class easy to keep up with. If you love research and writing you will do very well in his class. Dr. Lombard was willing to write letters of recommendation for me without hesitation. Thanks Prof Lombard!

He is very knowledgeable on his subjects and is a fair grader. He is clear in his beliefs but won't dock you on having a differing opinion. He cares about his students.

Worst professor I have ever had. His lectures are reading notes straight out of the book and stumbling over his words. Writing is the only grade and he does not make the grading criteria clear whatsoever. He will give you a grade based on whether he likes you or not. Very biased in his lectures and gets wound up and yells during class. DO NOT TAKE

Terrible. Lectures were pointless but attendance is mandatory. He cares more about length of papers than content, and he'll mark you down for meeting minimums. He also marked me down for a presentation because he has hearing loss and sat in the back, so he couldn't hear everything I said (admitted in an email!). Nice dude, but stay away!

He is the one of the worst professors I've ever had. He is never happy about anything, is you mess up affect and effect expect a trip to the writing center and a 3.0. I've always gotten high grades on papers but this guy is the worst grader ever. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT TAKE HIM.

Great Teacher; Good personality; not many tests; Have to write a paper every week but you have a week to write it; All class time is lectures but they are very informative; I would take him again if it was a course I needed for my masters degree.

So I read the do's and don't. This professor holds a grudge and he showed with my grade. Lecture you can get right off moodle, sit in class and he reads right off the screen. I had one issue with professor, final grade was 3.1 he gave a 2.9. Pretty awesome of him.

Professor Lombard is a very passionate teacher and you can tell he really enjoys what he's teaching. This class was basically all essays - I think we wrote at least one 2-3 page essay a week. He grades pretty easy, as long as you have the right content and idea. He is kind of confusing to follow in lectures.

Great Professor! He is very welcoming to any questions and super helpful. He often gives you way more information than you need, but that just shows he really cares about the topic. I would really recommend him to any IR or PoliSci major

Lombard is great. Ive learned so much about HR during this semester because of him. There midterm & final are lengthy essays but he gives you ample time to complete & has a thorough review before the exam. There is also a major paper during the semester. If u need clarification or extra help(exam, paper, etc), he's an asset. Fair & intellegent prof

Professor Lombard is a pretty helpful professor. There are a lot of good points to learn in this class, mostly from him lecturing but he really pushed for students to engage. Class is boring if students don't participate. I thought he was a fair grader and responsive to questions, help, etc.

great if you like to write. he does essay exams, and basically wants you to fill an 8 page blue book or else its not good enough. also theres a 15 page paper to write about Latin America. if you hate writing, dont take this class!!!

Great Prof! Surprisingly interesting class. Attend regularly, participate, read book B4 class, & watch grammar & spelling (wife is Eng Prof) & you'll do well. Not a blow-off, but none of other IS classes R either (at least only 1 text for his class!) Need 2 blue books for tests. Shows some great movies too.

A little intense when talking about current issues! An easy grader on exams. The exams are all blue book. takes attendence sometimes. Dosen't take off for late work. Likes if you ask questions and talk to him.
