Comment:

Having already been programming in multiple languages for years and worked on many open source projects, this class is hilariously easy. However, you can quickly tell that he has no real experience and just repeats verbatim what the book tells him to. You can have a perfect program, and still get a 20/100 because the sln isn't named "right".

Comment:

I took his class back in 2016. And let me tell you, even though he claims to be patient and caring, he is known to have a terrifying bad side. I have experienced his anger between the beginning and middle of the 2016 Spring semester when the questions he asked me confused me so much. Even to the point of tears. Self-teaching Code is a blessing.

Comment:

Fiori is very knowledgeable but also sarcastic when students ask questions on topics that he's already covered. Review your code with a fine tooth comb as Fiori's grading is quite strict and not very forgiving. You're not going to do yourself any favors by taking C at Clemson instead, as the classes are essentially identical. (I have taken both.)

Comment:

George was a good teacher, but many times he left out the one thing that made everything else make sense. He made us think, and at times curse and best our heads against the wall. I would take his class again because of him being accessable outside of class.

If you are a Bridge student do not take CPT 234 at Tri. I would not recommend you take this class with Professor Fiori. Professor Fiori is a tough grader and takes off points for minor issues. He is not very helpful when you ask him questions and is very sarcastic. I would wait until you cross over, at Clemson to start your programming classes.

If you have this teacher, switch while you can. While George is not the worst teacher in class, his grading is sure to drive to you crazy at points. His grading is E X T R E M E L Y harsh. He will tear you to pieces over the most minute detail if given the opportunity. Of all things, the most notable is that he throws out 0s for anything he can.

This guy has never programmed in the real world. He will focus on nit picky details that no one cares about( did you camel case??). He skipped 3 important chapters, and blamed Clemson for forcing him to teach. This class should not transfer into Clemson. Those who can't do, teach- Dr. Reid( Honestly this guy can't do either for the life of him).

Do NOT take his programming in C class if you plan to Bridge to Clemson. He taught us C++ instead and Clemson expected us to take C. The class is not that hard but that's because he's not teaching you everything that you need to know. Seriously, my teacher this semester at Clemson had to teach us C for 6 weeks of what was supposed to be a C++ class

It was online so I don't have much to say, but I will note that he actively works with Pearson's IT lab to figure out if everything runs well. I got a call from him and he asked me to help with a problem they were having with from what I gather was a powerpoint version issue. Didn't seem like a bad or rude guy, but the email thing is daunting.

He is an easy teacher because all of the assignments are online and he will work with you. But he is a very rude instructor. Does not give a care about much and if you try to email him, he wont respond unless you are grammatically correct and the format is right.

George is TERRIBLE. He's extremely rude and if you go to his office he will quiz you on stuff from previous classes. I emailed him a question and he emailed me 2 days later saying my email was in the wrong format and he wouldn't answe my question until it was corrected. I repeat, terrible.
