Started the class of with meditation, grades on a curve, and is pleasant. There was a number of outside presentations and current event discussions that did not pertain to the exams though. If you're a good student, you should get a good grade regardless of content presented, but that's just me. (No + or -, just solid grades).

Professor Lough does not show us any of his lectures, which wouldn't be a problem if he didn't constantly ramble about irrelevant topics. Lough simply talks and expects you to pick and choose which information is relevant to take notes on during his lengthy irrelevant rambling sessions. Stay away from him if you don't like your time being wasted.

I like him as a human being. Good guy, interesting lectures except that 9/10 they will not cover anything on the test. He gets through a couple slides at most and then talks about other things that ARE interesting just not related to the material. At all. Read the chapters through to the end. The book is dense but interesting enough. Good luck!

My favorite class ever, easy A! 4 tests, lowest of the first three gets dropped, silly in class assignment (attendance check) drops one. One paper on anything in the book, terms for each exam for points, HUGE CURVE (free points) amazing guy. No final exam, you dont have to worry about the material after the test! Take all of the tests!! Enjoy :)

Prof. Lough's class was not hard at all, I got a B & I was lazy & didn't try. The reason I got a B was bc I didn't go to class enough. His tests were easy, & would have been easier if I payed attn in class & read the book, although I'm not sure you HAVE to read the book, but it helps. Go to class bc he doesn't post the slides. Nice guy, easy class.

I loved Professor Lough's class so much, definitely one of the best professors I had this semester. He sets clear criteria on what is going to be on the quiz and uploads all the power points, if you go to lectures, take notes, and study you'll do well. I'm finishing off the semester with a 101%, because he does a big curve

Professor Lough is the most dynamic psychology professor. Perfect for the introductory course; it ignites a curiosity about other psychology courses. the class is easy, do the reading and the quizzes will be a breeze. Lots of extra credit opportunity; which are also fun. He's great!

Easy class. Just show up to the lectures and review the power points and you'll be good to go. Don't bother buying the book. Gives 4 quizzes (no final) and drops the lowest of the first 3 quizzes. 5 in class writing assignments, just a paragraph journal-style, drops lowest score. 1 short paper. Very entertaining lectures. Goes off on funny tangents

50+ slides/lecture, will only discuss first 5-10. You basically need to read the chapters front to back and memorize, which for me was easy. But if you're the type who dislikes boring lectures, reading on your own, and essentially teaching yourself, then avoid. 4 exams, can drop 1 of first 3, couple random in-class writing assignments. NO HOMEWORK

Only passed this class because of his grading curve. Grade based on 4 tests (you can drop 1) and random short writing assignments, so you have to go to class. He has about 80 slides per lecture and only gets through 10 or less. So you're forced to learn everything on your own from the book. Take w/ someone else if you can.

I was very excited for this class, until I realized the class had no structure. Study guide is terms and some that aren't even in the book. I dreaded this class along with majority of the class. You have to teach yourself the disorders, and be able to distinguish whats the difference. I wouldn't recommend him, take someone else. Not an easy class.

George Lough is an inconsiderate man. He has us buy a really expensive textbook that he hates however he still tests out of it. Grade is based on 3 exams ONLY. I was repeating this course due to getting a D, and he gave me a D when I needed a C. Not recommended for PSY 310.

Grade based on test and 5 randomly assigned "writing assignments" on class days. Made you buy the book that he hates and doesn't use but still tests out of. Not very approachable or kind. Didn't enjoy the way he taught the material and didn't really explain it well.

Worst Professor ever. He's cocky and rude and unapproachable. He criticizes everything you say and is disrespectful. He has us buy an expensive book and then tells us he hates the book and not to use it. He doesn't believe in the plus or minus system and has no empathy for people. Ruined my favorite subject and your grade is just based off tests.

Dr. Lough is the best choice for this tough class. Class consists of a paper about self, 9 ICW assignments and 4 quizzes. This was my third class with him and hope to take many more with him. I ended up with a C but learned a lot. You will need the book to understand the lectures.

Dr. George has some awesome stories. I had difficult personal issues going on this semester, but his class would have been an easy A otherwise.

Really amazing professor, please do yourself a favor and take PSY150 with him. Although he speaks quietly, he tries to relate to us with examples and experiences. His tests are super easy as well (print out the study guide and fill it in and you'll be fine) , one term paper. It's impossible to even get a D, let alone an F in this class.
