Teaches straight from book and pretty much just summarizes it in class, which can be very boring. Good about preparation for tests. When help is needed she is always willing to fit into schedule.

HORRIBLE!! Worst professor I have ever had. I generally get along well with professors. However her standards fluctuated dramatically through the course and were not made clear until after she graded the assignment. I would never recommend any student taking her course. She is TERRIBLE.

She's a good person, but her skills in teaching are way less than par. She likes to have things her way although she's very confusing on her assignments. She says that she wants one thing, but then say that she wanted something entirely different. And who in the world uses APA formatting????

Mrs. Ferris is such a nice lady and loves what she does, although she does not make sense a lot of the time. Her directions are often times unclear and doesn't say what she means. She gets off track a lot. SUPER tough grader. Difficult class but good discussion.

Mrs. Ferris is a nice lady but she doesn't know how to teach. She says one thing and means the total opposite. She doesn't grade our test correctly because everytime I turn around someone is failing. If she doesn't agree with your answer then you fail. I wish she would retire already. So ready to change my Education Major back to Criminal Justice.

I kinda feel bad saying this, but Ms. Ferris treated me like I was one of her kindergarten students. I expect to be treated like an adult in college. PORTfolio is a fun class, but Ms. Ferris made it painful to go to.

She was not helpful at all. Her classes were boring. She rambled on about immaterial things from her experience. Her test reviews had nothing to do with the test. She was not good at all. She was one of the reasons I left the education program. You figure you would have someone who actually knows how to teach, educating others on how to teach.
