One of those "if he likes you, he REALLY likes you" professors. If you're lucky enough to impress him early on in the semester and he decides you're worth it, he'll go above and beyond to help you. If you fail to impress him, he's decent but won't put in the same kind of effort that he does with his more 'promising' students.

Loves to hear himself talk. If you want to parrot back his lectures to him in the papers all semester, go ahead and take a class with him but be warned that when you deviate you suffer. Tough grader but won't give you any guidelines whatsoever for what he wants.

He's a great guy, and I love talking to him outside of class; he has a certain charm about him. He also has good incite on the texts studied in class, as well as some interesting stories which contribute to the lectures. However, his classes are 90% lecture-based -- and sometimes he can be a bit dry.

Grant is an intelligent albeit self-absorbed immature man. He is an okay professor but he doesn't reallly make himself available to the students unless you're an attractive woman. He is very rigid and always has to be right. There's no compromising with this man. He's fun outside of class if you want to hear him be a Hollywood name-dropper. He's a sad man who really wants to be a famous writer.

Holly is a joke. He's actually kind of pathetic because he thinks he's hot stuff and he dresses like a Miami Vice extra and talks about sex and movies all the time, but in reality he's nasty and unhelpful and he wastes all your time. He's also prone to childish temper tantrums.

Professor Holly is a wonderful educator. He is willing to help out students all the time and he is great about making sure that a student can get the most of his/her academic experience possible while at HWS. Plus, he coordinates the Los Angeles program.

Prof. Holly taught us about making movies in an English class. We read materials we never discussed, and watched movies in a class that was suppossed to be an introduction to literature. He is the reason I was not an English major.
