Reads off of an outline that EVERYONE in the class has, verbatim. I saw no value to what happened in class over watching a video.

Comment:
Very knowledge about the subject, considering he wrote the textbook. Assumes the class has a prior competency in Crim Law which isn't true of an intro class, and therefore doesn't thoroughly explain all concepts. Very theoretical, practical information is minimal. Hypotheticals are helpful to understanding concepts thoroughly.

Professor Binder is not very clear at explaining legal concepts. He is also very boring. His grading is fair though, so that's a positive.

I had him from criminal. His class is pretty boring and he is a bit of a know-it-all, but he is pretty fair on the final and what else matters?

Would be a better teacher if he didn't belittle students and called on us directly (instead of berating the whole class when no one will raise their hand). Pretty boring, but his exam is definitely fair.

He tends to lecture a lot and doesn't seem really to enjoy interacting with the class. Fairly dull, and way too much philosophy!

Direct and to the point. Takes some devilish pleasure when students go off track in their thinking, but there has to be some reward for teaching classes. Mostly theoretical with minimal practical insight.

He does talk down to students a little, but he is a nice guy if you meet him in the hall. Too bad that 1Ls dont have a choice about taking him.

Binder thinks he knows everything and is rude to his students. His exam was ridiculously hard. Don't take Binder!
