Extremely enthusiastic (she talks really fast) and has a sense of humor. Her midterms are specific and difficult but the final exam is not. Her lecture notes are clear and organized. An enjoyable class overall.

Comment:

She is passionate her material. Talk very fast, and a lot of material every lecture. Not necessary to read the book, but do memorize what's on her slides. She can be very specific when asking questions, sometimes the wording could be confusing, but the average turns out to be nearly 80, so pretty fair. Labs are easy. Lect attendance count. Helping.

I found her class quite enjoyable. Yes there is alot of material, but to those ppl who are complaining, welcome to McGill, suck it up and deal with it. Her lectures were very interesting and fun and by the end of the course I found that I had absorbed much more material than I thought making studying for the exam much less stressful. =)

Really liked this prof, she and Hendrey were the only ones from 112 or 112 who held my interest in the subject. I agree she does go through a loooott of material in lectures. Memorize is all. I didn't really like the course material especially the plant stuff but it was nice to have a prof who was super enthusiastic and nice.

nice but extremely **** prof, mentions all the time how she's assigning less and less to memorize yet her tangents in lectures prevent you from truly knowing what will be on the test. way too hyped up some occasions, she really needs to slow down sometimes but tears through material so she can still finish lecture with side stories. ok prof

I think Prof. Roffey's rating is hampered by the fact that she teaches an introductory course that all freshmen, regardless of their interests, have to take. From a biology perspective, she is fantastic. I'm in my third year now and I still regard her as one of my favourite profs ever. As with any course, you have to have a good attitude.

she's by far the most engaging of the 3 profs and it helps to listen to her lectures online. Don't bother going to lectures and just memorize all the notes and you'll get an A. But start a couple days early cause there are a LOT of notes to memorize

She is very engaging and entertaining, I enjoyed going to her class. the only thing is that she really asks students to master a lot of material, I find it a bit too much, but then again this is my first biology course at mcgill.
