Took him for two classes, he's very helpful , humble, intelligent and nice guy, even if his lectures can get a little dull sometimes. He's not out to fail anyone he will try to work with you if you don't understand the materials. I would recommend him to anyone taking Italian.

He is a nice old guy, very knowledgable but does not know how to teach! I have never gotten less than an A in exams because i had great italian profs, i lost complete interest in learning after taking it w. him. He just talks, reads off the book, rarely writes on the board. Does not explain things. But he is a nice guy, just not meant to teach.

Prof Haller's class is interesting and he DEF knows his stuff. He makes going to class painless and is very understanding. He urges students to participate/ ask questions. Attending class helps you do well on the exams and paper! I would recommend his class. He adamant about students being open to other cultures/languages!

He definitely knows what he is teaching, he speaks like 8 languages and knows the history of each one. He is definitely one of the most intelligent professors i've ever had. His grading is fair but there's a good amount of homework and studying involved. He's very helpful and friendly as well. Definitely a good professor!
