Don't choose the book by it's cover! She is not the most organized Instructor I have ever had---but, she is one of the most knowledgeable! She is passionate about Music! If you are open to the class--you will learn a lot and earn a good grade! Older students will do better because they are more patient! She is very fair and offers extra credit.

Even though I rcvd a B, I will never take one of her classes again... talk about unorganized, late every day and at times, rude. My advice, steer clear!!! She loves music; however, there are some ppl that just shouldn't teach.

She is very passionate about music; however, she cannot manage time and is always disorganized. When you try to ask a question, she always ignores you or says "I will get back to you on that." My advice, choose another course or attend every class and you MIGHT pass.

Okay, so basically, I'm taking this class and I already have a pretty good amount of music knowledge. The only reason why I'm taking the class is because it's a prerequisite for more music classes. I learned quick that all this lady cares about is PERFECTION. She will find flaws in everything you do. Everything! Also, expect assigned seating...

This is a piano on keyboard class. NOT a music class. I've played piano for five years and love it and she took the fun out of piano. Worst character ever. She acts like NO ONE knows anything but she knows EVERYTHING. BUT-If you know how to play the piano you can speed through and stop coming to class and get the credit.

Worst college professor I've ever had. Although she is an easy teacher to get a good grade with there was lots of busy work, which made me feel like a child. Do not recommend taking any of her classes if you are remotely interested in music at all. I actually had one friend who told me she made him quit college!

First of all, this wasn't the teacher I signed up for..shame on Santa Fe. This is ultimately a learning to play piano class. She gives you many opportunities to correct your homework, but I feel there isn't enough time in the semester to get the A that is outlined for you to get, and probably not a B, either. 1 month to go..shall see..

Very nice woman, but not a terrific teacher. All you do is fill out worksheet packets like if you were in high school. She goes around the class and you answer what you wrote. She is like the energizer bunny, she keeps talking and talking and talking. She makes music dull and uninteresting which is a shame.

Don't miss her classes unless you want points off. Fine teacher at first, but towards the end it started to get CONFUSING, and it felt so rush that I got frustrated and abandoned the class to focus on finals for my other classes. Alright teacher, but towards the end wasn't much help.

Comment:

Ingrid Rosenshein is one of the best teachers I have had at SFCC. She is super kind and quite helpful if you give her a chance. All you need to do is all your homework and study the handouts she gives for the tests. It's a little difficult but not impossible to understand. I highly recommend her for your music class.

this lady is nuts. the course sounds cool, but you're going to hate it. not only is the material incorrect, but she contradicts the handouts she gives you & then tests you on it... etc. it's pretty ridiculous... there are FAR better classes to waste your electives/music credits on. PS whats with the lipstick?

This class really is the most boring thing to sit through. I was really excited when I heard it was about the history of Rock N' Roll, but she just makes things complicated. Attendence is crucial to your grade and sitting in her class is very boring. Some of the questions on the test are not from where she says to study from...dont take this class!

Her tests are impossible. She give you handouts along with 234897 usless pieces of paper. Her outside assignments are worth nothing, just have to do it for the test. So you get 4 grades for the whole class plus like 5 points for an extracredit assignment.

Ingrid Rosenshein is the worst teacher i have ever had, she completly ruins the class. She knows nothing about rock n roll except for what she learned from a book or the old folky stuff like jonie mitchell. Do not take this course, i love music and she makes me hate it at times.
