Comment:

Spent $40 on Sapling to do HW, then half of the semester in, she told us we don't need to do HW there anymore because it was too easy. Now, we have to do homework on the textbook&most of us don't even have the new edition, because she told us to get the old ed., its cheaper Her exams are ridiculously difficult. 5 pages of problems in 90 mins. NOPE.

Comment:

All the bad rating about Professor Huang are somewhat true, but she is not an "awful" Professor. I think she is very tough in her course, but not as a person. She is very caring, loving, understanding, and considerate towards her students. If you really want to learn, you MUST take her. If you are lazy and don't want to study, then avoid her class.

Dr. Huang is amazing! Yes she's tough but that's only because she loves what she does. Do all you homework so that you understand the material and study, study, study and you should be able to do great. If you don't understand something don't be afraid to ask her she is more than happy to help!!

Comment:

Dr. Huang is passionate about teaching and chemistry and it shows. This class is tough because the material is tough. She uses power point for reference but primarily uses the board during lecture. She writes very fast and it can be hard to keep up at times. I highly recommend doing the homework because it gives you the practice needed to understand the material. The exams are pretty straight-forward. It is not impossible to pass her class with a good grade if you are able to put in the time and effort.

REAL college level course. Many people are over-exaggerated . She is not a teacher who wants to fail students. The class is tough because the material is hard, you got to understand what you're doing. Her lectures are very helpful-but you need to read ahead. Students failed and blamed the teacher, but they should think about themselves as well

REAL college level course. Everyone is over exaggerated about it. She is not a teacher who wants to fail students. The class is tough because the material is tough, you got to understand what you're doing. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COST! She's a nice person, but she can't teach well at all! Most of her students fail her class and take multiple repeats. She rarely answers questions, is difficult to understand, and goes way too fast. She's also very unorganized when lecturing during class, so everything becomes confusing!

Dr. Huang is a wonderful Chemistry professor. Although I took it more than once, i finally passed her class spring 2014. She is very helpful and will explain lecture and lab thoroughly. I highly recommend taking her for lab if you have her for lecture. Excellent professor!!!

Dr. HEUNG IS ONE OF THE GREASTEST PROFESSORS I'VE HAD. SHE CARES ABOUT HER STUDENTS. SEEMS A BIT INTIMIDATING BUT SHE REALLY CARES. HER CLASS IS EXTREMELY HARD AND REQUIRES A LOT OF STUDYING BUT IF YOUR WILLING TO DO YOUR WORK YOU'LL PASS WITH NO PROBLEM. HER FINal iS WORTH 40% OF the GRade it really helped me pick up my grade. Lovely lady.

Incredibly useless professor. She may be nice but her exams are ridiculous. She tells you that you will be fine. If she tells you that immediately drop. You will get a C if you don't. No point in going to lecture. Do yourself a favor and do not take this class with her. You will be sorry. 40% is the final (difficult, you better know your stuff)

Wonderful professor! I got an A in her class, it's really not too hard to get a good grade in her class: just study and understand all the hw. What I love about her is that she truly cares about her students and wants you to succeed. Yes, the cumulative final is 40% of your grade, but she makes the final easier than the rest of the exams.

She is awful. Avoid! Her grading scale is so stupid. Her final is 40% of your grade! She won't tell you what you received at the end of the semester either. You just have to wait & see. Take someone else, anyone else. Also she tries to convince you that you're in the wrong class & you should change your major, she's a know it all.

Great lecturer. Explain chemistry concepts well. Homework grading is unfair. She assigns about 40 problems per chapter, but only grades 4 of the problems. Even if all of your other answers are right, 25% of your grade will be deducted because of one incorrect problem. Her tests are long and sometimes you aren't given enough time.

Chemistry Bootcamp! She is tough, no doubt about that but she is definitely boosting your study habits and problem solving skills. She has provided me with an introduction of how hard classes will get in the future & I'm thankful for that! I now feel better prepared. Plus: Passing her class (with an A or B) is a the biggest confidence boost :)

i took her 2 summers ago, and out of 50 or so students we ended with 13. all 13 of us after class would go straight to tutoring together for a few hours. only one out of 13 got an A. (not me lol) glad i passed though!!study study study!!!

She gives homework that appears online the evening before every 8:00 class, typically on new concepts, thus I don't get enough sleep. I can't finish her tests, not because I don't understand, but because the time is too short, and I can't write or punch my calculator that fast. This nonsense has nothing to do with chemistry.

Dr. Huang is an amazing professor! Yes, her class is hard but if that's your complaint, you're missing the point. Especially of you're in the sciences. Her lecture is absolutely clear if you do the reading. I didn't, but I paid extra attention in class. She answers any question and truly cares about teaching. Put in the work and you'll earn an A.

I love Dr.Huang. Very carrying person I must say. She prepares you for them big universities. She knows her stuff and is willing to show you every technique of hers to solve any problem of the book. I was always the last person to leave her class. Exams are super hard. Study hard.
