Once you get past her thick accent, she is a very clear-cut instructor. Feel free to ask her any questions about anything at all regarding the course and she will answer it! She grades based on technical mastery and completion of portfolio. So put the work in, both criteria will come hand-in-hand, and you'll get an A without a doubt.

Easy A. She is a very slow teacher and literally teaches directly from the book. You can skip the class and just teach yourself which would be the same thing. She is a nice professor, helpful when asking a question if she knows the answer. If not, you just redo everything. She stops for any student, to be ready to be bored for long periods.

I took her for engineering drawing and Intro to CADD, she is an amazing teacher. She does everything step by step and always gives great help. Awesome class definitely recommend to anyone interested in engineering/architecture.

Shes an awesome teacher. Very helpful and makes sure everyone understands what she is teaching! If you go to class and simply keep up you will have an A. I took her for Eng. Drawing and intro to CAD and i got As. Now im gonna take her for Adv. Cad and 3D Cad :)

Absolutely AWESOME teacher. As previous rates stated, she explains everything step by step, and will keep explaining each step along the course helping you remember it. Calm, cool and mellow is the best way to describe her. Mid Term and Final are the only exams which were SUPER easy! Great teacher!

Irma is a Great Prof! who ever left the rating back in Jan. 2010, was a loser. You either didn't do the homework or you didn't care. The professor goes over each assingment step by step. She gives easy exams, and makes it possible for even the slower classmates to pass her class. Just do the work and stay off the phone.

Great teacher!!! I had her for Into. to CAD in Summer 2009. She explains and re-explains every step. Some homework if you do not finish in class. If you attend every class and read the chapters, test will not be a problem. I am now taking Advanced CAD with her for Fall 2009. I highly recommend Ms. Berner.

Comment:

Great teacher, but make sure you are at every class and there on time, because she does everything in class. Text book is very in depth but hard to understand, so she teaches the stuff separate from the book a lot of the time. Great teacher. I am planning on taking more classes from her next semester.

NO HOMEWORK! Go to class is must. She meticulously teaches & REteaches EVERY single LITTLE step and explains it the same LONG way each and every time(every day)! If you have a question, shes there to answer it. Tests are super easy and has same idea as the class drawings. Great teacher for intro, but really boring for people experienced in AUTOCAD.

Had her for Intro to CADD and don't understand her fabulous rating. Found her to be burned out and not interested in "teaching" her students. While explaining new commands, if U missed it, tough luck & now you're really lost. She played on her laptop most of the time instead of going around to make sure everyone was ok with doing their drawings

Very good teacher, easy class, and you learn a lot. She helps you with any questions, gives you lots of opportunities to do good on tests, which are all practical, there's like one theorical and it's so so easy.
