Comment:

Took his American fiction course. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had! He's an old, hippie English teacher who wears the most random shirts. The reading is intense, but it is so worth it. He has the best lectures, and he is very interesting. I'm planning on taking his Short Story course next semester because he is just so awesome.

Has weekly quizzes but if you pay attention to what he is looking for, you can easily make high grades. Very lenient on his grading. But, be aware he has seen and heard it all so don't try to make excuses. Even though he talks and goes off on tangents, it was pretty interesting.

He's a real nice man. He's REALLY generous with grades,just talk to him about it. His lectures are totally random and kind of boring.Make sure you read the required texts because he gives you a quiz. I had him for a once a week 3 hour class and we had to read a new novel each week.A lot of reading...so make sure you have time to read that much.

Amazing professor. I took his Dylan class. TAKE HIS DYLAN CLASS. An incredibly nice guy, very funny, and a self-described "generous" grader. Also extremely knowledgable. About everything, as near as I can tell.

Great Professor. Very knowledgeable, and entertaining, Dr. Baird is one of the few professors at UNT that actually tries to instill a little more life into literature and the University experience. Just show up to class and be able to write decently and a B is no problem.Also, he is the most entertaining Prof. I have had in 7 years.

this class is awesome!!! what's better than getting to sit around and listen/talk about dylan?? i was already a dylan fan, but i've learned so much. he brings in german operas, poets, novels, greek philosophers, and word roots, somehow, and it works. i am learning about everything.

This is truly one of the most intersting professors I have ever had. He is so knowledgable in so many different areas and is able to covey that knowledge in an entertaining way. I would highly recommend this instructor.
