Comment:
Dr. Henley is an old but entertaining character. His Consumer Behavior class was ridiculously easy. He assigns small group activities. He also assigns 3 article presentations in which you write a two page summary of an article that relates to Consumer Behavior and must be presented to the class. These take up time and are fairly useless.

Comment:
Professor Henley is exceptionally entertaining. While he may be boring at times (like most teachers) he does keep the class engaged through stories- driving 4x4 in the snow, hot dog at Nasa, bakery at Disney, and the one about his Indian friends. Take his class, consumer behavior is an easy A, or B if you didn't try like I did.

WHATEVER YOU DO: DO NOT TAKE THE NIGHT CLASS!!! You Will never be able to make it through the semester. Henley is super nice and easy but beyond boring. He makes an hour feel like your whole life. Remember his examples and study your notes you'll be fine.

Easiest class you will ever take. You have to write 4 article summaries (1-2 pg double spaced) and can earn 3 xtra pts (12 pts total) by presenting them (easy). Tests were pretty much verbatim from class notes/powerpoints, and he drops the lowest one (so the final is optional). Class could be boring sometimes, but overall highly recommend!

Comment:
Dr Henly's marketing class is a good and challenging course. There are two exams and one marketing audit(20 pages). The exams are easy but they are mostly 7 out of 9 essays questions (about an half of page each) the rest of the test consist of 20 multiple choice from concepts from the textbook. He only puts stuff on the exam from in class lecture.

Comment:
Firstly, there are only two tests (2x40% each) and a marketing audit (20%) that compromise your grade. The tests are very lengthy but cover the powerpoints he goes over in class. All the multiple choice are EASY as long as you study the "Other Concepts" that he assigns you on Blackboard. But as others have said, beware of his subjective grading.

Comment:
This course is not hard. But Dr. Henley is too d#%Q picky. He takes points off for your word choice on the test and is not objective with grading at all. If you don't phrase something the way that he said it, he will take points off. So you have to take good notes and remember them verbatim; remember every single detail from the notes for the test.

You really don't need the book. But, he does give key terms to look up in the book and you will have to know for the test. Also, take very detailed notes. The examples he uses in class are not in the book and you will see them on the test. He is a great teacher and if you ever need any help, see him during his office hours.

Tests are straight from the notes. Get ready to memorize as you will have to spit back what he said. Also have to do a marketing audit, but it is pretty easy do to group involvement.
