Took Acting 1 with Jim Quinn, it was so great. The energy of the group was great and everyone bonded and we worked well together. Lots of fun, lots of laughs. It's a lot of improv so you've got to be quick on your feet. Just don't get too in your head with the exercises and you'll be golden. You have to do show reviews but those aren't too bad.

Took during Fall 2017. Had about 10 assignments because he gives a couple weeks on some stuff but you can knock it out quick. It is writing heavy at times but not really hard, mostly opinion based, found some stuff online too. Had to go to a BSU play and write a review other than that did everything at home. Take his children's theater online also!

Acting 1 was my favorite class this semester! It's mostly improv stuff but still lots of fun. He takes attendance but just show up and have fun and you get an A. JQ really cares about his students and is fun to talk to. The class was a fun environment and I bonded with my classmates.

Here's the thing. He's great at what he does and super fun and engaging when it comes to the more hands on stuff (I took him for Creative Drama and it was great!) but lecture is not his strong suit. In Theater Management he kinda rambled on without making a lot of sense, and I just didn't get a lot out of the class.

Took a 5-week Theater Appreciation class with him over the summer. No textbook, just online research and a few odd assignments. I'm not a fan of theater so, for me it was just a check mark next to an art requirement, but it wasn't hard at all. He doesn't respond to emails too promptly, but he's a really easy grader.

I took child theatre online summer. You have to do a weekly assignment and attend and review a childrens play. He taught me nothing I taught myself and it was an easy A which was good because my other classes were hard and time consuming. He starts off by saying only take this class if you are serious about it- he should take a look in the mirror!

Best class, easiest oral interp class possible. Like 2 assignments all semester, professors very nice and simple. Attendance is a MUST though. Class is fun, helps you with public speaking in a non intimidating way. High reccomend it!
