His teaching can be confusing but he gives you outlines that tell you exactly what you need to know for tests and quizzes so if you go to class you'll be sure to get an A. Lots of quizzes, but they are normally exactly what he went over in the last class and he offers extra credit. Overall a great professor.

Good teacher. No online hw or hw in general.. but he is a little weird. Lectures can be disorganized. Do you work on the topic before he starts it so that it's clear by the end.. otherwise you'll spend a lot of time getting tutored.

I don't understand why Yost is rated so poorly. This class was a BREEZE. Show up, do the examples, and study those exact problems before the exam and you'll be golden. Easy quizzes, 3 exams, no homework, and an optional final. If you actually pay attention in class it's an easy A. I even made an 100 on the second exam.

If your willing to go to class and pay attention, its impossible to not get an A on the exam and in the class. Don't bother with the textbook, you won't need it at all. He pulls out the stuff he wants you to learn so just study your notes and the quizzes and he'll be an easy A.

I don't think professor Yost is for everyone, but for an accounting class enjoyed him. I found him to be pretty straight forward. The material he teaches is clear and relatively easy to understand. He also offers a TON of extra credit if you do homework assignments. They take a long time, but they can change your grade entirely at the end.

ALWAYS DO THE HOMEWORK. You get a boat load of extra credit for doing it and it's essential to passing the tests. If you do the homework, you will pass the tests. I promise. Going to classes can be helpful but it's not exactly necessary. Overall, he's an okay teacher. BTW I used a textbook from 3 editions back and it worked just fine & was cheap

I would describe this teacher as the biggest waste of my tuition money. He's horrendous. I can't stress this enough. He's not clear, very rude and actually snaps at students when they're confused and ask a question. I wouldn't take him again if my life depended on it.

Comment:
Much easier than financial accounting. If your good with numbers then take it. He is pretty dry with his lectures and they get very boring at times, but for the most part he tells you whats going to be on the test and not many surprises at all with that. Although, doing your (extra credit) homework will really help you out in the long run.

Yost has got to be the worst professor I have come into contact with. His office hours are not helpful, because all he does is ramble as to why he is correct, and you're wrong. He goes over his time for class although no one understands what he is saying. Don't ask questions, or he will try to humiliate you in front the class or just disregard them

Dont take. Not helpful. If you don't get his handouts you are in trouble because the book doesnt help with what he asks for. Stay away

If I have to listen to Yost say "it's really quite simple.." one more time(when it's clearly not), I may kill myself. He spends more time telling you why what he's explaining is relevant than he does actually teaching the material. Tests are hard. His jokes aren't funny. Writing on the board is hard to read. He's bad at explaining. Don't take him.

I hate listening to yost talk. He is arrogant and reiterates how easy the material is multiple times every class. He makes mistakes in his calculations all the time and includes random stories in his lectures that are almost entirely irrelevant. Furthermore, his handwriting is near illegible on a good -- don't sit at the back. Don't take yost.

He doesn't like when students raise their hands to ask questions. His handwriting isn't great, and when you ask him what he just wrote, he gets visibly frustrated. His face turns red when a student has a question. Test questions have something he worked out in class but with an added surprise element from the book reading. Wouldn't recommend.

Comment:
The only purpose of the book is to do the homework which can add 10 points to your final grade. Yost usually gives handouts that explain exactly how he wants you to know the material for the test. Can be an annoying class but if you go to class frequently you can get at least a B.

Yost is a good teacher. If you show up and pay attention there is no reason you cannot get an A. He offers 8% in extra credit homework. EIGHT PERCENT! Material is CUT, DRY, and EASY. He goes on tangents to keep it interesting (thank god). If you can't pass his class you don't belong at a 4 year college and you're an insult to my education.

Yost is an awesome guy. The class was pretty easy, everything in the tests comes from the handouts he goes over in class and he offers extra credit. He's really entertaining and makes a dull subject bearable. I definitely recommend him.

If you enjoy a teacher who goes off on tangents about his personal life, is unclear in teaching the subject, gets mad when you ask him questions in class, and doesn't answer your questions about anything in office hours... then this is the guy for you... If you do take him.. Don't waste time coming to class. Learn it on your own time.

I would suggest trying to avoid his class he teaches. He doesn't really care that you learn the material just wants you to listen to his lesson so he can leave. His test came straight from what he goes over in class but then he'll through in comprehensive problems that will cost you major points on your test.

I have NEVER seen a professor care so little about his students. His lectures are unclear, and when questioned he has 3 responses, 1. Either repeats himself in the same unclear method, 2. Tells you he's getting to it, or 3. Tells you he already said it. He is annoyed by questions in general and isn't interested in helping students outside class.

Yost is a pretty good professor. Go and pay attention in class, you may need to do some extra reading and practice for studying, but just stay with him in class and your fine. Pay more attention to the process of the problems than the actual numbers so you get how to do them. Grading is lots of quizzes but only grades best 5 + 3 tests and a final
