Favorite UofS Prof. Super knowledgeable. The 1st prof (of 5) in sociology that finally helped me grasp theory. Gives really great examples that are applicable to every day life so you remember concepts. Encourages group discussion and creativity in assignments. I want to take all her classes! Possible closet Marxist (in the good way). Yes, please.

Jennifer was a great prof - One of my favorites, by far. She was organized and funny and a very 'real' person. She invited some great speakers to class and tried to bring the topics covered 'to life' I'd take another course from her, for sure, but they're full.

Comment:
238 seems to be a survey course to understand conflicts and philosophies, not so much analyze data. If you did well on the two prerequisite SOC courses, you should do well with her. It doesn't hurt to interact before, during, and after class to ask questions and demonstrate an interest in the class. Final was lengthy, but no midterm and two essays.
