Professor Johnson is amazing! I am not great at math, but he presents the information in a clear way. Going to discussion every day was the best decision I made all semester and I ended up with an A on every test including the final. If you understand the study guides and go to lecture every day then you will do very well in the course! Recommend!

I am not a math person, and I though this class was not very hard. The tests are nearly identical to the review test, but perhaps slightly easier. The final is NOT hard. Just go through your old tests and review tests and it's a breeze. I went in with a 96% and came out with a 96%. All multiple choice and very clear cut class.

Jerry uses old pre worked problems for his lecture notes, but does a decent job with explanations and warning students of pitfalls. His lectures are a bit dull but it is calculus. Not a huge fan of the multiple choice tests, but he is very helpful during office hours. You will get out what you put into this class.

I would like to say the worst professor but that wouldn't be fair. His teaching method is lazy (pr-written) notes, and hw doesn't help because all of it is online and majority)multiple choice. His tests are the worst (he gives out ridiculous) multiple choice tests. Tricky, and most ppl get good grades till final and then end up struggling. Avoid.

Hated his style of teaching. Seemed very lazy as he would use old notes and just point out stuff on the paper instead of other teachers that actually do problems with you step by step. Study guides are like the tests so do those and you'll be fine. Final was hard so try to keep your grade high on the first tests so the final won't hurt you as much

Johnson is not the most helpful professor. I passed the class with an A because I went to the Math Center constantly which helped greatly! His study guides are exactly like his tests. The final was a bit more difficult but no new material. The class is not super easy and you will need to study a lot, butits very possible to pass this class with an A

It is not an easy class. Be careful while taking his tests. Sometimes he gives up-to eight answers for multiple choices. Tests are pretty similar to practice tests. Grading is hard and there is no extra credit and no curving.

Everything that you go over in class can/will be on the tests and finals, so the professor does provide the means for you to suceed. I did all the HW and did decent on the test to go into the final with an 86%. The final was insane and bumped me down to an 81%. It was a hard class, but I would take him again if I had too.

Decent teacher. Hard class. His tests aren't too bad, I never went to recitation and still got B's on his tests. The final is next to impossible, if you're failing going into the final, expect to fail the class. I had an 84% before, and ended with a 73% after studying for weeks before. If you do well on the first three tests, you'll pass the class.

If you do the hw, and do the test reviews you will do just fine on the first three tests. if you have tests from previous years that helps as well. however, expect to fail the final. ive taken the class twice and both times studied for days leading up, and still failed it.

It is nearly impossible to get a good grade in this class. His grading is stupidly difficult. No leniency. Seriously take it with someone else. You won't learn anything and you'll end up with a terrible grade on your transcript.

Great teacher. Really teaches the material. His tests are almost identical to practice tests. No quizzes, which is a plus, but watch the final. I had a 97 going into it and ended up with an 86, so don't get to cocky.

Dr. Johnson's class is appropriate for college-level calculus. He can sound condescending at times and his speech isn't the easiest to listen to. Otherwise, he grades fairly and the class shouldn't be much of a problem for anyone to attends lecture regularly.

He's a really nice professor who has a crystal clear teaching style. He eases you into the class really well. Take his notes, do his study guides, ask him questions in his office hours, and study--you will do well.

Great teacher, speaks well and knows his stuff. Tests are like the practice ones, so thats good. But yeah you start getting comfortable and enjoy the class after all 3 tests are done and then the final comes. HOLY CRAP plz study for the final cuz I barely did lol!!! Let me just tell you I had a 96 going in to it and after my final grade was an 83.

Dr. Johnson's class is good until the final. The "cumulative" final is unfairly weighted toward Chapter 8(40% of the test)...this is the chapter students struggle the most with. I personally had a solid b, until this final. This test pulled me down to a 69 and he would not give me the C I needed to go on.

good teacher he goes over the material quickly but not too fast. he keeps things simple enough to understand but he does do complicated examples for hw. if you go to his disscusion sessions and lecture you will be fine in this class. over all great teacher.

Homework if often times completely different than the simple examples given in class. Going to the TA sessions is the best place to ask questions, he doesn't like you to ask them in lecture. The practice exams are the best way to review and are actually very similar to the exams..although these exams are by no means easy.Very tough grader.

In lecture he will go over really basic, easy examples of the material so you think you know what you're doing. Then on the hw, he just gives you a completely different form of it so you're stuck with no idea what you're supposed to do. Plus, in class he just acts like a total a@% hole, and treats you like you're in kindergarten again.

The material is difficult, and the homework takes forever most of the time. The nice thing is that he makes it all do the morning of the class and not at midnight the night before. You have to pay attention and attend, but doing well is possible.
